Kai POV
I was woken by my personal Servant Lloyd, who started to dress me. "Good morning, Prince, I hope you slept well" he said unbuttoning my night shirt. "Good, how about yours?" I yawned.
"You no need to worry about me, your the only one that matters here, now arms up", he said putting a dress shirt on me and moving to my night pants. There was silence between us, being broken by Lloyd, when he grabbed me, new boxes and my dress pants. "Besides, you got a big day today, meeting the next Kingdom overs Princess".
My happiness for the day was now gone, "ugh not this again".
Lloyd kneed down to put on my shoes, he smiled, " oh come on, I heard that this Princess is a real charmer, know let's get that bed head fixed up".
He helped me off the bed and leading me to the bath room. Lloyd started to do my hair, putting up in it's spiky style. He always did that way for me, even if my father said against it, he new it brought me joy. " I don't care how charming she is, I don't want a Princess, I want-," I looked at Lloyd's reflection in the mirror and smiled, " I want someone like you,".
He froze, a blush came across his face. "A-a I- If that's what you want, I will do whatever you say, I am your servant" he said finishing my hair.
"Don't want you to be my servant, I want you to be my— ," I was interrupted by Lloyd.
" My apologies, but I will always be just your servant and you will always be my Prince" he said still blushing.
I turned to him, " if this is about my father not approving, I don't care who or what you, my heart beats for you".
He looked down, making the scars under his uniform visible. I knew they did this to him, even when he wasn't my servant. My father, my mother, the other servants. I put my hand on his cheek, lifting his face up to meet mine. His emerald eyes looking at my hazel ones. I leaned in but Lloyd broke the moment by lightly pushing me away, " Your father would want to see you soon, the Princess will be here around noon".
He lead me to the dinning room where my father, mother, and sister were sat. My father scoffed at me, muttering about me hair. Lloyd left, as servants came out of kitchen. I messed up, Lloyd was my only true friend and I just made him uncomfortable. The food was sat down but I wasn't feeling hungry. " Kai, my boy, eat up, don't want the Princess Skylor thinking your ill" my father said.
"How many times do I need to tell you, I don't want a Princess," I said.
" oh stop being five, she doesn't have cooties" he joked.
" I'm not, I don't want a Princess, can I be excused, I know where this is going" I said standing up.
"I don't know can you?" He said as I left the room.
Lloyd was waiting outside as always. "Come Lloyd, I going for a walk, and I like some Company" I said walking to the door to the garden.
"Yes, sir" he said following me.
We walked thought the garden, it was a beautiful sunny day. " Lloyd remember, when we first met" I asked.
"Yes, it was in this garden, We were about, 6 or so," he said
" you were trying to steal flowers for you mother" I said smiling a bit.
" yes, and now I am in debt to you, but I guess that's a good thing, it's this or male stripper" he laughed. I laughed, I knew Lloyd would come more himself out here.
"I think you would do very good in that kinda of profession," I retorted.
He blushed a little, laughing, " why thank you".
We continued like this, until noon. " Will looks like we need to get you to your date", Lloyd said, seeming sadden by the news.
We walked back to the castle, see cars in the drive way. They had a family crest of a purple snake. The air around Lloyd became anxious, see the crest. "Is something wrong, Lloyd?" I asked.
He nodded his head yes, he put his hands on shoulders making me face him. "Kai, watch you back" he said with fear in my eyes.
He lead me to the main hall. Another servant was there with a crown. Lloyd watched me as I made my way to my family. Then dismissed with the other servants. The guest walked in, the guest king had a evil smirk on his face. My hands started to shake. I wanted to go and hide in m room after one look at him. My eyes looked away from them, and got a glimpse for Lloyd watch the ordeal. I felt safer that he was there. " ah Chen so nice to see you, and Skylor looking as Beautiful as ever" my father said shacking the man's hand. Not going to lie she was beautiful, but I was not in to her.
"Same to you, shall the two, soon to be love birds, to get to know each other?" He said glancing at me.
"Yes, Kai how about you show Skylor here, the garden", my father said.
I nodded and lead her to the garden. We walked, it was quite, unlike the time with Lloyd. I thought back to it, it felt like ages ago but it was just a few minutes ago. "So you know what any of these flowers are?" Skylor asked, trying to start up conversation.
"Yes, every single one of them, this is my favorite place," I said sounding disinterested of her alone.
"Your very cute, I feel like we should get together. We could make the cutest family ever," she said coming close to me, putting her hands on my chest.
I took her hands and put them are her sides. "And what if I say no?", I said.
I heard a click, then metal against me neck. I felt a little bit of blood drip down my neck. "I will put you head on a plate and feed it to your family", she said in a crazed voice.
I didn't know what to do, do I say yes and try to get away. No, if she like this than most likely her father is like this. She pushed the knife more into my neck. I froze, I couldn't do anything, yes or no, nothing. Then I heard running as she pushed the knife more. I felt my breathing slow a little. Then, I looked at Skylor. Then she was pushed away. I fall to the ground and saw caught by someone. " Kai, Kai look at me!" My savior said.
It was Lloyd, he was so close to me, if I die know I will die happy. He put his hands on my face, lifting up my head. " oh my, we need to get you help", he said putting me over his shoulder.
I never realized how strong he is. " the prince is hurt, get a medic!", Lloyd yelled lying me on the floor.
He took of his uniform jacket, putting it on my wound. " come on Kai, stay with me," he said a hand on my head.
" I love you", I said to him.
" I love you too", he said and he kissed my forehead.
If I wasn't in pain, I would be bouncing off the walls. The medic came over and looked at the cut. " oh it deep he's going to need stitches", she said grabbing the needed items in her bag.
" hold his head still" she told Lloyd.
Lloyd put my head on his lap and held my head still. I looked up at him, he moved my hair out of my face. The medic put the first stitch in, Lloyd griped my head. I gritted my teeth, trying not to scream. I blacked out because of the added pain.
I woke up in my bed, I looked around and I saw Lloyd sitting on the side of my bed. I reached out a touch his arm. "Was Kai! You aware!", he said hugging me.
He kissed my cheek and said, " I thought you died".
" so are we a thing?", I asked
" Just don't tell you dad, it this or male stripper", he said laughing
We stay like this for a while until my family came in to check in on me.
