Kai POV
Me and Lloyd were fighting Surpine. I was wrestling one, Lloyd was dodging some knives that were getting thought at him. The others were trapped some where in here. I kicked the snake off of me and want to help Lloyd. A snake that was behind Lloyd thought a knife. I ran up to Lloyd and pushed him out of the way. The knife cut the back of my neck. All of a sudden I couldn't hear anything. I yelled hoping I would hear something thing. I started to feel every weak and fell to my knees. Lloyd ran up to me saying something, I can't read lips that will. But before I fainted out of pain, Lloyd said something, I only word I got was 'love'.
When I woke up I was in a cagewith the others. I still couldn't hear anything. I didn't know what to do so I just screamed "I can't hear!". Lloyd immediately came to my side. He started to do sign language. He said "Its ok Zane told me how it happened it's because of the cut on your neck, but you will not be able to hear again". He hugged me and I hugged back. I signed back to him, "are you ok, how they get you here?". He touch the back of his head then his arm. He hasn't been using that arm. He signed " the twisted my shoulder and then hit me on the back of the head". I touched the back of his head, he flinched. He looked at Zane and said something. Zane came over, his hand was glowing blue, he put his on the back of his head. "What's wrong did I do something?" I signed feeling concern. "It's fine it just the temperatures make it hurt, and you are the fire ninja" he signed looking in my eyes. I smiled at him. Me and Lloyd talk in signed language to one other until Lloyd started to get tired. He fell asleep on my shoulder. I laid my head on his, and put my hand on his chest. He was scared, his heart was beating fast. Then he put his hand was over my heart. Then I put my other hand on his hand that was on my chest.
Lloyd POV
When I woke up, my head was on Kai's lap. I looked up at Kai, he was asleep. I feel bad that he lose his hearing, but a good thing is that Zane taught us all sign language. I sit up and looked around the cage, the others were all still asleep. Zane was laying in the middle of the cage, man he's weird. Jay had his head on Cole's should and Nya head was on Cole's other shoulder. I started to think about Kai again. He will never be able to hear of us ever again and it's because I didn't protect him. I was in deep thought until something tapped me on the back. I looked it was Kai, he had a worried look on his face. He signed to me "why are you crying?". I didn't noticed that I had started to cry. Kai came up to me and wipe away some of the tears. I than signed to him " I was just think that you will never be able to hear again and it's because I didn't protect you". Kai jumped up and pick me up being careful of my head and shoulder. Than hugged me, I hugged back not wanting to let go of the deaf ninja. He signed to me "It's not your fault it's mine for not being careful". He put me down on my feet, I leaned my head on his chest, I put my hand on his chest and signed "I love you big bear". He signed back " I love you to peanut". He gave me a smile, I returned the smile. I than signed "when we get out of here I will do everything I can to get your hearing back". I looked up and him, waiting for a response. He just nodded and picked me up again, then spinning me around.
Time sikp five days later
We were able to brake out because Kai was able to get the keys from the guards.
Me and Kai were now in his room talk will more like signing. Kai had his head on my chest and with his arms around my waist. I was messing with his hair making more spiky then it was. Kai than signed to me "I can feel your heart beating" I giggled then Kai signed "are you laughing?" . That made me laugh more. But then Kai started to poke my stomach, knowing I was ticklish there. Then he I started to actually tickle me. I started to squirm and laugh. I tried to sign stop I can't breath but I was moving around to much. My only option was to tickle back. I started to tickle Kai's sides . He was laugh. That was first sound he made in days. We fell off the bed, me landing on top of Kai. We where both panting from so much laugh. I laid my head on Kai's chest and just breathed. My eyes started to feel heave. Then I fell asleep on top of my deaf ninja.
