Levi's POV
I grin, tapping codes and commands into my phone as I hack the speakers of the Tower. I turn to Clint, who's on his stomach next to me. We're hiding in the vents; a place that's almost impossible to get to if you're not a trained assassin.

"Three, two, one," we mouth, counting down, and then...I hit play.

"Oh! My anaconda don't! My anaconda don't! My anaconda don't want none unless you-"

"GOT BUNS HUN!" Clint and I chorus, and I snicker as I hear Tony start belting it out with us.

"LUNDRINOV!" I hear Steve yell, and I laugh, shimmying away from the direction his voice is coming from. Hawky chokes on his laughter as we squirm through the vents.

"Levi, turn that off right now!"

"Oh my gosh, look at her butt-"

"LEVI!"

...

I lounge in the dining room of Marian's house, picking up Cheerios and throwing them into Carlos's mouth.

I never miss.

The five-year-old giggles as he takes a pause to chew his mouthful of cereal.

"Mama's gon' be home soon," he manages through his mouthful, and I laugh, leaning over the three-person table and ruffling his curls.

"Yup, and after she gets home from work, I'll make you two dinner while she showers."

Marian works as a nurse at the nearby hospital- the same one that I was admitted in two years ago after Loki's attempt at taking over the world, actually- and damn, does she work hard. Not only does she have that job, but she's also studying to become a doctor, since the wage is bigger and she needs all the money she can get to support Carlos. As small as he is, the kid eats twice his own fucking weight every day. I'm guessing he's just growing...or, that he has a bottomless pit in replace of a normal human stomach. Either way, he somehow remains tiny, even though he almost eats as much as I do.

And that's saying a lot, since I'm a supersoldier, and I burn calories like nobody's business.

"What's for dinner?" Carlos asks excitedly, and I pretend to think.

"Hmm...a certain little monkey told me he likes mac 'n cheese..."

"Mac'n cheese, please! Please, Aunt Levi!" He chants, jumping up and down. I laugh, standing up and cleaning up the stray Cheerios that have fallen out of his mouth.

"All right, punk muffin. But if I make you your pasta, you gotta promise me something."

He nods eagerly. "Yeah! I can do that! What?"

I crouch down, until we're almost nose-to-nose.

"You have to promise...to not tell your mother about me giving you this!"

I pull a lollipop out of my pocket, and he squeals happily.

"I promise! I can do that!"

I laugh, ruffling his curls and unwrapping the grape lollipop for him.

"Enjoy, squirt. Try not to get sticky fingers in anything."

"Okay!" He giggles, then runs off to play with his toys. I smirk, leaning against the counter and checking the time on my phone.

8:34. She should be here right about...now.

The front door opens, and I can hear Marian pulling off her light jacket. She always manages to feel cold, even though it's the perfect weather outside. So, I make her take a jacket, even though she protests and says that she can survive without one.

In the end, I always win.

"Honey, I'm home!" She calls sarcastically, and I grin, walking into the living room.

"Oh, good, our kiddo's hungry," I retort, taking her coat and placing it on the coat hanger. "Go take your shower and wash off your germs, Doctor Johnson."

She lightly punches me in the arm, and I gasp dramatically, clutching my arm.

"It's 'nurse' still, stupid," she laughs, and I wrinkle my nose and stick my tongue out at her.

"Whatever you say, 'Nurse Still-Stupid'."

She shakes her fist fake-threateningly, and I pretend to quiver with fear.

"Oh, no! Still-Stupid is going to kill me!"

"Yeah, you'll be killed by stupidity," Marian scoffs, dropping her fist and smiling at me.

"Now, I gotta take a shower. Get that mac'n cheese on the stove!"

"How'd you know about our chosen meal, you ingrate?" I ask, and she laughs.

"Because you're a sucker for Carlos, and he loves mac'n cheese, so you make it every damn time you come over."

I think back to all the times I've babysat for her, or at least cooked dinner. And yes, every time it's been mac'n cheese. Wow, maybe that's why I'm so good at making it.

Marian laughs at my shocked face, then heads towards the bathroom to take a shower. Carlos peaks around the corner.

"...mac'n cheese?"

...
