ALSO I COULDNT WAIT FOR ALL THAT SHIT SO HERE YA GO
...
Levi's (yes!) POV
My consciousness drifts to the front of my mind, finally freed from that dark space inside.Only to be met with a stabbing pain gnawing at all my bones, clawing at the inside of my head. I whine in pain, and inhale sharply when all I get in return is more of it.
What the fuck did Autumn do?
Terror strikes me in my (rapidly beating) heart, and I wonder if she's killed anyone.
Fury? Steve? Nat? Sam? Tony? The possibilities are endless. Please, don't let it be Winghead. Anyone but Steve.
I didn't even think about my friends outside of the Avengers! Marian, Jackie, Mason, Kenny, even little Carlos! What could Autumn have done to them for just being associated with me?
HYDRA called you in, I point out. They needed a mission completed. And they had the leverage to get you to work. I can't imagine they'd go through all of that just to kill your non-threatening friends.
But...what about the Avengers? And Sam? Rhodey? Maria Hill? Fury? What about them?
I pull myself together, and force my eyelids up. The harsh, bright light above me- surprisingly, the sun- assaults my eyes, and I bite back a scream of pain.
My retinas!
I blink a few times, voices from agents around me filling my ears.
She was up there for a while, sir.
Long enough to kill him! So why isn't he dead?!
Sir, she might've-
No, it's perfectly clear what happened! SHE. DIDN'T. KILL. HIM. She needs to be wiped. Any trace of emotion needs to go.
Do...do you think that will work?
Do I think it will work?! Yes! Yes, I think it will work! Have cleanup bring her to the prisoners' van. Maybe, since she's so keen on keeping them alive, she'll enjoy her last time with those bastards.
The voices move away, and I wonder what they mean.
Did...did Autumn actually spare people? For me?
I lie still as hands grab into my arms and legs and leave me on to a stretcher.
"Take her to the van," Rumlow sneers. "I can't even look at her."
Chains are clapped around my wrists, and I'm maneuvered into some sort f vehicle.
Most likely the van, I muse, and am jostled into a slumping position. The door bands shut, and I listen to the breathing in the room.
Those breathing patterns...they're familiar...
I open my eyes discreetly and almost tense up. I'm sitting next to Steve, across from Sam and Natasha. Nat has a bullet hole in her shoulder, and her face is pale, but she's still a bit conscious. I really hope I didn't do that.
