Steve's POV.
We crashed into Levi at the tech store, and now, I'm starting to have my doubts about her.

I haven't looked at Fury's phone yet- out of all the havoc and happenings, looking at the last message he wrote to me seems a bit less important- but I have a feeling it might have something to do with her. She's acting...off. Her reactions aren't hers, and another thing, she actually called me 'Steve'. Although, that could have something to do with the fact that the last time we spoke was also the first biggest fight we've had.

"Say, Levi..." I trail off, then take a deep breath and continue. "...have you been practicing parkour lately?"

Levi shoots me an unamused look. "You should already know the answer to that. Why?"

I chew the inside of my cheek. "Well, for one thing...I found your hair at near where Fury was shot.

She takes the accusation just as I thought she would: angrily. "How dare you!" She spits, eyes narrowed. "I'm an agent of SHIELD! I trained, and trained, and worked hard to get to spot and for what? To be accused of my boss's murder?!"

I clench my jaw and step back. Normally, she is a spitfire, but again, something seems odd about how she's acting. It's like her words have been rehearsed. Maybe she knows more about this situation than she's letting on.

Could Fury have trusted her more than me? Did he have a plan before he died that he told her? Am I missing out on something big?

"I'm accusing you," I whisper angrily, trying not to draw attention from the already-suspicious employees, "because you disappeared for almost two days, and the you pop up out of the blue. Hell, you even left your phone in your room! You never do that!"

"Accidents happen," she shrugs nonchalantly, and my teeth grind against each other.

"Listen, I know we didn't end on good terms-"

"Probably because of you," she pipes up, and I blink.

Does she even know how this all started? She was the one that withheld very important information from me!

"Definitely not because of me," I decide, but our argument is interrupted by a nosy employee, who I guess is just trying to do his job.

"Can I help you guys with anything?"

"Oh, no," Natasha laughs slightly, straightening and looping an arm around my neck. I'm shocked by the action, and freeze as she continues. "My fiancé and daughter were just helping me with some honeymoon destinations."

"Right!" I choke out, "We're getting married."

"You shouldn't have waited so long, if you ask me," Levi adds coyly, giving me a sly look. I shoot her a glare, just as the Apple employee starts talking again.

"Congratulations. Where are you guys thinking about going?"

I look down at the monitor and see that the signal was traced to somewhere in New Jersey.

"New Jersey," I grit out.

"Oh." The employee looks at me, probably wondering if I'm insane. Of course he's thinking that, why didn't I say Malibu!

"...I have the exact same glasses," he notices, and when I see Natasha relax out of the corner of my eye, I can tell that all three of us were thinking completely different things.

Well, make that 'all four of us', as Levi breaks the tension by saying, "He's a married man now, you know. No use staring into his eyes."

The employee laughs at her quip, while Natasha rolls her eyes and remarks, "You guys are practically twins," referring to our shared type of eyeglasses. The man scoffs.

"Yeah, I wish," he says bluntly, gesturing to my...build. "Specimen."

It's awkward for a few moments, and in those few moments, I'm starting to think I know what everybody means when they say, 'in that moment, I just wanted to die'.

"Uh...if you guys need anything, I've been Aaron," he says, tugging on his name tag and then walking off.

"Thank you," I tell him, then narrow my eyes down at Natasha. "You said nine minutes, come on!"

"Shh, relax," she murmurs. "Got it."
She clicks a few times, while Levi watches closely over our shoulders. The signal traces back to Wheaton, New Jersey.

"You know it?" Nat asks, and I think back to my early days as a pre-serum soldier.

"I used to. Let's go."

...

Autumn's POV.
As we head towards the elevator, I tap Steve on the arm.

"Slow down, Cap. I'm goanna use the ladies room, and I don't wanna lose you guys. Where are you goanna be?"

"We'll wait for you," Natasha assures me, and I send her a quick (fake) smile of thanks before heading off towards the restrooms. One I'm safely in a stall, I radio my team.

"Rumlow, targets have been spotted and are waiting at the top of the escalator, north wing of the mall, in front of the Apple store."

"Nice to know, Soldier," he responds gruffly, and I turn off the earpiece while I flush the toilet and wash my hands to fit in with the five other ladies in the bathrooms. I leave, heading towards the targets again.

"Finished," I announce, noticing Steve fiddling with his pocketed hands anxiously. "What is it?"

"Standard TAC team," he replies, eyes darting around. "Two behind, two across, and two coming straight at us. If they make us, I'll engage, you guys'll hit the south escalator to the metro."

We head down the escalator as Agents Harmond and Rumlow head up across from us, eyes alert and searching. While Natasha and Steve are acting like an everyday couple- chatting, laughing, and even kissing- to throw off the agents, I lock eyes with Rumlow from behind Steve and nod my head. He nods back.

So. He knows.

...

Steve's POV.
We're sitting in a car I hot-wired, with Natasha driving and Levi in passenger seat; a seating arrangement we've taken up since our run with Sam. I sit in the middle of the backseat, with nothing to do, so I pull out Fury's phone out of curiosity. The message- still glowing on the screen after the two days of it running without a recharge- make my heart skip a beat.

I unconsciously glance up at Levi, whose eyes meet my own in the review mirror sinisterly.
