Chapter 18 · The Inevitable

Willow's pov

Peeping my eyes open I sigh at the empty spot beside me. Sitting up, I go in the bathroom not wanting to wake Lacie up just yet. Doing my hygiene and taking a quick shower, I wrap the towel around me, leaving my hair its natural curly state. Exiting the bathroom I put on a purple lace bra and panty set before rubbing in my lotion.

Deciding on a simple sunflower graphic t shirt and black compression shorts. Taking Laxie out her cage, I let her eat before taking her to the bathroom holding her over the toilet to do her business. Once finished, I carry her in my arms to Akilles' office after grabbing a quick breakfast of breakfast buritto. Not bothering on knocking, I walk inside, seeing Akilles' sleeping on the couch. Placing Laxie on the floor, I go to sit behind the desk eating my breakfast burrito. Humming lightly, I look down at the paperwork seeing why Akilles' was so stressed. Neighboring packs have had a slight rogue problem and feel a alliance is in order.

"What are you doing in here?" Akilles' said as he woke up. "Setting you straight. Here, you need to eat." I say tossing him a breakfast burrito. Akilles' seemed to eat it in no time at time.

"You need to get out of this office Akilles', its killing you." I say as he finishes eating walking to me. "I'm good Willow." Akilles' says sounding exhausted.

"As your luna, I order you to get out of this office." I say my tone firm, holding no room for arguing. Getting up, I grab Akilles' hand before he can protest. Pulling him to our room, Laxie in tow, I pull him inside closing the door.

Before I realized, Akilles' was holding me closely making me relax in his hold hugging him back. "I'm sorry I sent you away, mate. I was stressed and paper work just kept coming in." Akilles' explained as he nuzzled my neck.

Pulling away I look into his electric blue eyes. "Akilles' as my mate and my alpha you don't have to handle all of the work load alone. I'm here to help you with that. But you've been stuck in that office, I went and got a puppy." I say pulling away showing him Laxie.

"Whats her name?" He asked stroking her fur hesitantly. "Laxie. I wanted to show her to you but you were ignoring me." I say as I set Laxie down. "Well lets take the day off, I'll get Omar to fill in for the day. We can stay in today, go for a run, I'm aching for it." Akilles' sighed. "Well go take a shower, you stink." I laugh pushing him to the bathroom.

Akilles' playfully growled at me, turning to Laxie, I see she's simply chewing on a toy I had bought her. Sitting on the desk, my legs crossed over the other, I wait patiently for Akilles' to exit the bathroom.

Soon Laxie trotted over to me, sitting in front of the desk. Hopping off, I pick Laxie up putting her on the desk before regaining my position on the desk.

"Your adorable Laxie." I whisper scratching under her chin. "Not as adorable as you." Akilles' voice spoke as he was out of the bathroom and putting on a loose t shirt with sweatpants and socks. Walking over to me, Akilles' stood between my legs holding my waist.

"Did I tell you, you look beautiful today, Lilly?" Akilles' asked. "Nope but thank you." I smile as I place my arms around his neck pulling him closer to me. "I missed you Akilles'." I whisper as I snuggle into him. "I missed you too. I can't say how sorry I am that I yelled at you." Akilles' sighed as he apologized again.

Rolling my eyes, I press my lips to his, tangling my fingers in his hair. I moan softly as Akilles' growls subtly gripping my ass. "Mine. Mine. Mine." He mutters as his tongue ravages my mouth.

"I'm all yours Akilles', I'm all yours." I whisper pulling away placing a kiss on his forehead. With a chuckle, Akilles' picks me from the desk as I hold Laxie in my lap, letting her run around the room for a bit.

Sitting us on the bed, I smile at Akilles' as he rubs my ass. Sensing that he really didn't want to talk to much, I stay quiet letting him rub me. Humming softly as I hug Akilles' to me, pressing kisses over his face. "You always know how to make me feel better baby." Akilles' smiled as I sat up not caring that Akilles's hands were roaming around my waist, to my thighs.

"Can we have the Luna ceremony next week as well as the making me and Micah a member?" I ask looking at him as I play with his black hair.

"Okay, just remember we have to go to council tomorrow. I want you to know that I'm here for you though." Akilles' hummed.

Feeling a bubble of nerves forming in my stomach, I play with my fingers nervously as I realize tomorrow was the day that Akilles' might just leave me. He was going to go into a rage no doubt by what I would reveal. I just hoped he didn't lose control like last time.

"It'll be okay. Promise. We'll be okay." Akilles' smiled, sighing I give a small fake smile.

"Maybe." I say with a anxiously.

"Willow, no matter what you reveal I'll love you no matter what. Promise." Akilles' smiled trying reassure me but I knew this time tomorrow Akilles' would even be able to look at me without growling.

Deciding to relish in the present I snuggle deeper into his chest. I love Akilles' with all my heart, I do. And I know he loves me the same or twice as much. I just had a strong feeling after tomorrow something was going to go extremely wrong.

"What do you say to going on a walk?" Akilles' asked softly. Nodding, I hop off him before grabbing Laxie's leash and clipping it to her.

Grabbing on to his hand, we walk out our room and into the courtyard of the pack house.

It was a nice day out. The sun was shining, birds chirping, clouds in the sky and a soft wind blowing. Laxie walked in front of us, trotting just slightly.

"You know with some training Laxie could be a good gaurd dog." Akilles' said making me glare at him. "Your my gaurd dog. Laxie is mine." I say to him before smirking at his shicked expression.

"Touché, Ms. Burgess, touché."

Overall it was a seemingly perfect day to a perfect end, hopefully tomorrow won't be so bad.
