Chapter 10 · Detective Work

Akilles's pov

It has been a week since the barbeque and Willow had been on the receiving end of much praise for her grace and regalness.

Even though she always worried if she was the right fit for the Luna position. Everytime she moved, she did it with such grace and elegance I thought she was a ballerina. She was slowly getting more comfortable with the amount of admiration she had coming her way.

Willow was even eating more appropriately which I was thrilled for. She had a doctors appointment tomorrow so I was excited to see her progress. Though sometimes Willow got sad and just stared at herself in the mirror with a frown and tears streaming down her face.

Then I would just hold my beautiful mate whispering in her ear how much I admired her, how much I would support her through everything. How gorgeous I thought she was.

Those days, we went to the woods letting our wolves enjoy time together.

Right now, I was in my office handling my Alpha duties, Willow was hanging out with Amy as promised. So I decided to catch up on my duties.

Hearing the door open, I look up seeing my parents walking in completely unannounced. "What can I do for you two?" I say looking at them with fondness.

They were a fairly older couple but they had aged well. My father just as burly as ever his dark hair now salt and pepper. His hard expression relaxing slightly as he pulled my mother closer. My mother as always had a broad smile on her face, baby blue eyes sparkling as her face only slightly wrinkled. Her petite frame snuggled close to my father's tall one.

"Oh my god! My baby finally has his mate! Oh honey! Aren't you excited!?" Mom said excitedly her bubbly nature showing as she practically bounced in her seat with happiness. "Yes. I'm quite glad, Poppy." Dad said giving mom his small smile.

"I would like for you two to come over tonight for dinner. I can +cook lasagna. We'll have so much fun." Mom smiled happily clapping her hands together. "As long as your not overwhelming mom. My mate has been through alot and is extremely nervous around new people. But we will be there." I say a slight smile touching my lips.

"Thats good. We looked forward to your visit. Lets go Poppy." Dad said his voice deep and rugged as always.

In no time at all they were leaving my office. Sighing as I phone rang, picking up.

"Alpha Akilles' speaking." I say clearly.

"Alpha Akilles' this is Claudius head of the Council. I have went over your report against the Golden Dawn Pack and this allege abuse is very concerning. So we the council have set a date on November 12 for the victim to tell us all that has happened."

"Yes, sir she will be there. See you then Claudius." I said before hanging up. Chuckling lightly to myself as that damned pack was finally going to get what they deserved for treating my queen like they have.

"They shall rue the day they lay a hand on her." Lazarus growled with triumph. Smirking devilishly, I get up walking out the office going outside. To see the most precious sight. My mate surrounded by the packs pups as she tells a story of princesses, princes and dragons.

The pup were so eraputure in her story, they didn't notice me approaching.

"Princess Nova screamed in fright "oh! My I'm in terrible danger!" Just as Prince Lartes came slaining the dragon with his mighty sword. The battle was feirce but in the end the Prince won. "My dear Lartes, you have risked your life to save my own. Now I give you my heart." The princess said with lovey dovey eyes and with a final chance the prince kisses the princess." Willow sayed dramatically as the pups cheered happily making Willow laugh as she caught sight of me.
