Part 16

-Hoseok-

That call, the one you get when someone tells you that your best friend is in surgery and dying, that you need to go into the hospital, it's enough to break even the brightest of souls. When I got to the hospital I heard a scream, I saw Jimin who was pale and crying, Taehyung who looked sick, Yoongi looked like he was unsure how to feel and a sour looking doctor, It clicked in my head easily and when I went over to them Taehung went in the room. Jimin hugged me tightly as tears had started running down my face, my breathing uneven. I went into the room and saw Taehyung kiss Jungkooks hand, then the monitor beep

"H-hes waking up!"

The female doctor yelled, Jungkook made a small noise but his eye stayed closed. My thoughts went to "he really is his heartbeat huh?" people tgathered and cried when Jungkook shifted a bit, soon we got kicked out though. Still shaken up clearly Taehung bowed

"I should...go"

"No...tell us what happened Taehung."

Jimin was his usual cocky self, now that Jungkook was okay and his mum was with him Yoongi had helped him feel better

"Jimin hyung, where I was doesnt matter I'm here now"

"I...for one am curious"

Yoongi said then looked at me

"Me too"

Taehyung visibly shuddred but shook his head

"I'll come back when Kook does okay? But for now I take my leave"

With that he left, I could tell Jimin was tired and Yoongi too

"Hey guys, my place for the night? It's been a long night and we have school, Yoons I assume you have work?"

They both seemed to agree as we went to my house, me laying on my bed in my room while they each laid on a side of the couch. I kept remembering our conversation earlier

~Flashback~

"Hoseok, I feel alive with him....like he's my literal heartbeat"

I laughed it off, they had been a good couple even if they werent together, I knew Jungkoook wanted to come out as gay but was scared to go against his parents, he wanted to have the perfect image for his family, one he let slide with us more recently

"Aww! Baby kookie is in love"

I saw his visible blush as he said

"N-no I'm not"

~End of Flashback~

Now that I thought about it, Jungkooks heart started to beat again with Taehyung, maybe kookie and Taehyung could end up together. I smiled to myself before drifting to sleep.
