Cramped fingers fly across ivory rungs
Hymnal hopes eternally sung.

The halting tempo cascades down lonely halls
Each rejection, denial, bullying calls.

Heart aching with pure intentions
soul for god, body longing for attention.

Broken hearted pedals upon her feet, windswept lies tangled between musical sheets.

Lilting voice trembles from promises to keep,
Tear stained pillows, a lost one weeps.

Keys straining for acceptance in love
Praying for God to send one from above.

Harmony rising above angelic wings
Searching for tomorrow she always sings.

Be the one, please be the one, cramped fingers Stop...her search finally done...
