Butterflies and kisses

You think I'm gone, that your free of this mess
Even with a new one by your side

I reside in ever part of our home! The kisses that stir as you walk down the hall

The sighs that echo off the sheets where we lay our heads, yours on my chest

The decorations you hung, the notes you never found will be opened some day

And my face will appear in your mind, my voice whispering in the ear I nuzzled

While you rebound past me, I sit and wait
Wait for redemption, forgiveness and time

Time to start over, while memories cascade across my heart that still hangs by your bed

Those quiet nights where butterflies and kisses swooped down like fairy dust

And made us one...and now apart still
One is alone...perhaps two if we're honest

I miss those butterflies and kisses....
Do you as well?
