Sams P.O.V:
"Don't you dare put that in the cart."
"Barnes, put the cap back on the milk and walk away slowly."
"Stop encouraging her, you shit brick."
"Oh my god, we lost Bucky."
"Maddie, god so help me if you put one more thing in this trolley, I will shove my foot so far up your-"
"No, don't you fucking think about it." I slap Maddie's hands that were about to wrap around Bucky's neck. He was absentmindedly reading the back of canned peaches, his attention indulged into the food.
Bucky's brows were creased as he read the label, not taking note of Maddie who was behind him, ready to pounce and choke the poor man.
This was not how I planned grocery shopping with a deadly assassin and my best friend. Of course Maddie was always a handful at the supermarket, but man; with Bucky there was no way I could predict what she was going to do.
They're literally a bunch of children. I cannot cope with this. Barnes was even worse, asking strangers where the dogs were kept and how to reach the chopper. Honestly, I don't even know what he's on, crack probably.
As much as I thought he was going to be brooding and not having the best time.... I hate to admit he was having a blast.
Its glad to see he's come out of his comfort zone; making interactions with people even though they might be able to recognise him. I had finally met James Barnes.
It was nice knowing how far he'd come in a few days being with Maddie and I, let alone those few months of rehab. I was happy for him.
I heard Maddie's feet shuffle, then a packet rustle. Not again. "Put the goddamn biscuits back on the shelf or I will punch you in the uterus with a cactus." She stopped in her tracks, turning her head slowly towards me.
"What kind of fucking insult is that?" She drops the packet on the shelf in a huff. "A serious one."
I continued to push the small trolley down the isle, looking for the right items. Footsteps were coming from behind me, my senses prickling. Maddie and Bucky weren't in sight. I slumped my shoulders, letting out an agitated groan.
"I swear to fucking-" My vision went black, large hands covering my sight. An earthy, masculine scent wafted into my nose, a warm body close to pressing against my back.
His metal hand made she shudder as it clamped softly over my eyes, locking me into the darkness. I could hear his breathing, feeling it down my neck. "Bucky, what the hell are you doing?"
He tried to contain his laughter, only for them to come out in choking sounds. "You need to calm down, doll."
"I am fucking calm." Growling lowly, I try to pry his hands off my face. "Mhmm." He replies lazily. Our skin meets, his metal and real hand both stay over my eyes. I reach for his arm, slapping it firmly.
"Bucky, if you don't let me see, I swear I will unload a whole can of whoop ass on you." I crossed my arms over my chest, tucking them under my armpits to provide more warmth. "Now that language isn't necessary."
What was with these two today? "Fuck, shit, bitch, hoe. Try me, Barnes" I grumble, walking forwards. His hands still remained on my eyes. I had no idea why I started to walk, I couldn't even see.
An idea sparked in my brain.
Stopping in my tracks, Bucky's body bumped into my back. I stumble forwards, getting a small "Sorry." from the boy behind me.
