I couldn't believe it. I could not. Fucking. Believe it. I hit the Knight with a blast of pure void energy, and it was still standing. I turned and began running the other way, as I was out of void magic. There was probably about twenty Thrall blocking the way, running at me. I was trapped. A Knight behind me, hordes of Thrall in front of me. As the first Thrall reached me, I hit it with a void blast, draining what energy it had left.
I jumped forward...
...and disappeared.
I reappeared behind the Thrall, and turned and threw a shatter grenade, killing a few of them. I turned as continued to run, as I pulled out my Ghost.
"Ghost! I need my sparrow now!"
"Alright, give me a moment... There!"
My sparrow appeared and I hoped on, then sped away.
[THREE HOURS LATER]
I sat in the cave, with my back to the wall. I had barely escaped the Hive. I looked outside the cave, at my ship, nick named "The Fangs Of Nyx". I had stumbled upon the blue prints for it nearly a year ago, and took them straight to the tower. The only description of it I could did on the blue prints was a single line, reading "Beware her maw."
I have no idea what it means.
I walked back into the cave and took off my helmet, looking at my reflection in a puddle. Im part of the race know as the Awoken. I'm a male, and a Guardian, tasked with defending the last city on Earth from the many threats in the universe. I have blues eyes and hair, with pale skin. I'm also a master Warlock.
As I stared into my reflection, lost in my thoughts, I heard a loud roar. I looked up, and out of the cave, and saw an Ogre, along with at least five Hallowed Knights. I'm so glad this stuff is only on the moon, I thought to myself.
The Ogre shot it's eye blast at me, and I ran out of a back exit from the cave. I gather some void energy within me, an summoned an Axion Bolt grenade. I threw it, and it spilt into six bolts, hitting each of the minions of the Hive, killing two of the weaker Knights.
The other Knight staggered, then continued towards me, but the Ogre seemed unaffected.
Shit, I thought to myself. I pulled out my hand cannon, and unloaded seven shots into one Knight, killing it. I pulled out my sniper, but had to dodge out of the way as the Ogre shots it's eye blast at me again. By the time I got up, the two Knights were upon me. One swung it's sword at me, and I rolled out of the way, as it's sword got stuck in ground. The other Knight took aim, and fired at me with its Hive Boomer.
I blinked up and forward, and landed on the Knight, the hit it with the strongest blast of void energy I could muster. A the Knight fell on it's back, dead, I hovered down. By this time, the other Knight had freed it's sword, and swung at me again, but was suddenly obliterated by the Ogres eye blast, who had apparently missed.
"Ghost! Rocket launcher! Now!" I yelled, summoning Ghost.
The rocket launcher materialized in my hands, an I took aim, then fired two rockets, hitting the Ogre in the eye, killing it instantly.
"Ghost, get us out of here." I said.
"On it." My Ghost responded, as I was warped into my ship, and flew into orbit.
