I somehow ended up on Hyunjin's couch, wearing his sweatshirt and shorts, snuggled up against him as we watched Kdramas together.
I ran my fingers over the bandages on my knee. After Hyunjin found me in the rain, he gave me a ride to his house and helped patch me up. He also offered me some dry clothes and we decided to just hang out for a while.
The episode of Strong Woman Do Bong Soon we were on had ended and Hyunjin promptly shut off the TV. "I think that's enough for now," he said, stretching his arms and legs. "How's your knee feeling?" He placed his hand on my leg and I tried my best to ignore the tingly feeling it left there.
"Better, thanks to you." I grinned.
"I bet if I had a dollar for every time you were clumsy, I'd be a millionaire by now." Hyunjin chuckled and I did the same.
"I would argue against that, but sadly, you're right."
"Well, it's a good thing you are so clumsy, princess. It gives me an excuse to spend time with you."
The way he calls me 'princess' always left a sweet taste in my mouth. I was hoping my blush wasn't too noticeable and made a joke to try and cover it up. "Maybe I'm not actually clumsy, maybe you're scheming against me so you can whisk me away just like you did earlier today."
Hyunjin laughed at that, and the way his face lit up when he smiled melted my heart. It always reminded me of how much I cared about him.
Then, I remembered the reason why I wanted to talk to him after school, a few hours prior to this."Hyunjin-"
"Aerie-"I giggled briefly seeing how we both spoke up at the same time. Hyunjin gestured to me saying I could go first. I gulped before saying, "S-so, do you like Lisa or...?"
"Hell no. I mean, no offense to her, but trust me I don't like her." I sighed in relief and I noticed Hyunjin's eyes lit up when I did.
"What did you want to ask?"
Hyunjin also gulped before posing his question. "Do you like Felix?"
That question really took me back, I didn't expect him to ask me that at all. Did he really think I liked Felix? I shook my head violently. "No way, we're just friends."
A long moment of silence washed over us. I adjusted my leg awkwardly as neither of us said anything. Finally, Hyunjin spoke up. "Do you... perhaps... like someone else?"
I nodded and very subtly scooted closer to him. "Do you?"
Hyunjin's lips turned up into a small smile as he glanced at me. "Yeah."
"Do I know him or her?" I had a feeling I knew exactly who it was, and that thought alone made my heart beat so hard I thought it might explode any second. But still, I waited for what he had to say.
"Yes actually. This person may or may not be the most idiotic, silly, clumsy, and yet most stunningly beautiful princess to ever grace the earth."
I don't think I've ever smiled so widely in my whole life. I was just about to say something when Hyunjin placed his hand on my waist and the other on my chin, pulling me closer and pressing his lips against mine.
It shocked me at first, but I quickly recovered and closed my eyes, melting into the kiss. It was slow and passionate, I never wanted it to end.
When we finally parted from each other, the two of us slightly breathless, I felt all kinds of butterflies in my stomach. My body was so numb with happiness I almost thought I was dreaming.
"I like you too, Hyunjin," I breathed out.
