Hyunjin's Point of View~

Class was, to say the very least, awkward. I arrived late, and upon entering the classroom I found that the only available seat left was next to Aerie. I mean, that was to be expected because everyone had become accustomed to us sitting together every day at this point. She glanced at me, staring at the obvious bruise on the bridge of my nose for a moment too long, before turning her head back to her desk. Her expression was unreadable. I took a seat quietly, a couple of students glancing at my nose weirdly. At least it's not as swollen as it was before, I thought. As soon as the bell rang, Aerie took off, not sparing me a single glance. My heart ached and an oddly empty feeling rang through my limbs.

When lunch came around I noticed Aerie had gone and sat at a separate with Hayoon, away from our usual group. Lisa was nowhere to be seen. I took a seat, feeling wildly uncomfortable at how quiet our table was now. You could usually count on Aerie to create some kind of ruckus, or start an interesting conversation with us. But today, everything just felt weird.

"How's your nose feeling, Hyunjin?" Woojin asked.

"Better," I responded half-heartedly. "It's not broken at least."

"Damn, I never knew Aerie could be so badass. That was the sickest punch I've ever seen in my life," Minho laughed.

"Yeah. What did you even do?" Chan questioned.

I heaved a giant sigh. "I fucking messed up, that's what I did."

"It can't be that bad. It's not like she's gonna hate you for the rest of her life, just apologize to her or something," Jeongin said. The guys were trying to keep the mood a little more light-hearted, but it was hard.

I groaned again. "No. She probably doesn't want to talk to me at all after what I did."

"Come on, I don't know what happened between you two, but Aerie is the type of person that's way too nice to hold a grudge for that long. Just talk to her and maybe you two can sort things out." Felix patted my back encouragingly.

"Alright. I guess it's better that I face my problems instead of avoiding them, right?" I gulped nervously. Not a single part of me felt brave enough to go approach her right now, but they were right. I think it's about time I go and talk to Aerie.
