"What?" There is no reply, "What?" I repeat. So I take it downstairs. I walk into the kitchen and repeat, "What?" I hear quiet footsteps, that must be Con, "You want a divorce?" he comes downstairs and behind me. My mother brings a tissue to her eye and nods, "Haven't you already? Why not? Oh yeah, you left her. But didn't you come back?"
"I'm back now." He says plainly and bluntly. Yeah, 14 years too late!
"But it's been years!" Con interrupts, running down the stairs, I look back at him with a smile.
"No offence, but what has it got anything to do with you?" He questions.
"No offence, but he is my boyfriend! You would know that if you were here!" I cross my arms, "And quite frankly, DON'T SPEAK TO HIM LIKE THAT!!!" We step closer.
"And what does he have anything to do with this family?!"
"Me."
"Seriously!" He goes.
"What!?"
"Come on, he's not worth it." Connor whispers in my ear, hand on my shoulder.
"Yeah, your right, he isn't worth it! Let's go, and good riddance!"I shake my head and walk off upstairs, leaving my mother in tear breakdown and turning to see if Con was behind. Which he was, as he comes to my door, I shut the door and run into his chest crying. He rubs my back up and down soothingly, I grab his neck and squeeze, he holds me close, "It's ok baby."
"But it's not!" I say, "I've never met him, now he's here. I want to know him more, but he has just come to make the split official. He probably wants somebody else." I cry more, and he lifts my head by the chin so we see eye to eye.
"Well you've always got me, and don't you forget that." He kisses my forehead and places his head on mine. "Shhhhhhh."
