 AN:YAY! AN UPDATE!!!

PS: The baby in the picture is Zion. Isn't he just the cutest ♥

"Well, this is a coincidence" Jeremy says with a bright smile at me.

"It is." I say returning the smile.

"What are you doing here?" He asks.

"Getting groceries." I tell him pointing at my basket.

"Yeah that's right.." He stutters. "Why else would you be here?" He says with a slight chuckle.

"Mommy?" Zion asks me from his seat.

"Yes love?" I ask him.

"I want Os."

"Okay Zy, I'll get you some Cheerios."

I turn back to Jeremy and see that he's taken aback by Zion's and I conversation.

"You have a son?" He asks.

"Yes, I do."

"Oh." He says some what deflated.

"Yeah." I add as an awkward silence falls between us. As always, as soon as a guy  finds out that you have a child, all attraction is lost.

"I was going to ask you to coffee or lunch, but since you're in a relationship--"

"I am not in a relationship." I quickly cut in.

"You aren't?" He asks surprised.

"Nope."

"Oh."  He says. "Well want to grab a coffee or have brunch sometime?"

"Um.." God, I should say no. I should tell him that I'm in school and that I have a son to take care of and that I don't need the added stress of a potential love interest. That would be the right thing to do.  But there's something about him, something about the way he talks, the way he looks at me that has me going against my better judgement. I can't believe I'm doing this. "Sure."

"You did what?!" Marilyn asks.

Soon after getting home from Walmart, I called her and told her about my run in with Jeremy.

"I said, I agreed to go to brunch with Jeremy tomorrow."  I repeat.
