The summer was a new glow in Sweden by July and most especially in Ekerö, where love had still went on behind the scenes, yet was now becoming a blossoming new flavour for the lovers. Their romance was as sweet as the ripe fruit of the season.
Björn and Agnetha had got on well throughout the rest of spring, finally getting a handle of keeping their love life on the down low. Their two children couldn't help but laugh to one another behind the completely clueless parents and truly hoped they would soon be told.
There was a work in progress in many areas for Björn Ulvaeus, who knew he had no issue with taking on the challenges work had provided him. Interviews, Mamma Mia: The Party in London, and Slottsholmen in Västervik kept him occupied all in the same week. He didn't usually complain. This was what he did best. Yet there was something that told him the Västervik trip wouldn't be as joyful as he expects it.
"I don't have to go, do I?" Björn asked the woman laying beneath him. "Make me stay here and not go. I'll say I'm sick."
"Björn. No. You have to go," Agnetha said. "Your daughter is having a baby this week! You're going to be a grandfather again."
"But that means I'll see Lena and it's her birthday. That's not what I want."
"Honey, one day won't spoil anything for you. Go meet the new little one, whenever she decides to arrive and come back." She kissed his lips and smiled tenderly. "We'll do something nice when you come back." He sighed and obeyed.
Upon waiting for the arrival of his grandson in his hometown of Västervik, Björn filled his time with work for Slottsholmen while his daughter was home with her mother. Calle and Björn worked together instead on her behalf.
The weekend had finally brought them little Hedvig to meet and tender moments to share together. Emma had FaceTimed Lena and Björn FaceTimed Christian and Linda to spread the news that their sister had finally delivered.
Anna looked at her parents and hoped for the love of God that they'd work something out but they were distant, awkward and bickering as usual. She sighed, laying in the bed with both of them at each of her sides, sitting next to her on the bed and little Hedvig in her lap. It was 10 PM and they've grown tired. Björn had offered a ride, and Lena refused. He rolled his eyes and changed the topic.
"This was at Slottsholmen today," Björn pulled up a picture on his phone for Anna to look at. "It's crazy how many people were attracted to it in an insta–" Anna stared at the screen and then her father again.
"Agnetha?" She looked at her father in a questioning manner and suddenly he went pale. Phew, he thought. Not a picture. She looked at her mother who had instant curious eyes.
"Let me take this. I'm sure she's only calling to congratulate you," he bluffed. "Hello? Hi, Agnetha."
"Hi, love. Is this a bad time? Sorry, I didn't have a chance soo–"
"Thank you," he smiled. "Oh, you'd like to congratulate Anna?"
"What? Björn, no– I mean, yes, but I'm no–"
"Hello," Anna laughed nervously, yet glaring at her strange father.
"Oh, hello, Anna," Agnetha shyly smiled over the phone. "I'm sorry it's quite late. I didn't want to disturb you, but I wanted to see how it was going. I heard from Linda and Christian. Congratulations, dear."
"Thank you," Anna smiled. "Don't worry even worry about it."
"How's the little one? Everything went well with delivery?" She asked, pulling questions out of the air as she paced her bedroom. Could this get more awkward, she thought.
