(Liu's POV continued)
I began making a plan. None of the patients were allowed any writing utensils or paper so far, so there was really no other way for me to keep track of my ideas except for my own memory. It was like I could already feel myself overthinking. Something had been disturbing me so much lately. It was y/n. I really did wonder what she was doing right now. We had gotten so close over the period of time we knew each other, It was hard to stop thinking about all the damage I'd done to her. But for now, I need to focus on getting myself out of this shithole and getting back home. Fuck. I don't even know how far this place is from home, but I need to get back there.
I was deep in thought when I heard the door to my room open up to reveal one of the female nurses working here today. She spoke in a monotone, almost hushed voice. "Mr. Woods, you have a visitor here to speak to you." I silently stood up from my bedside and began walking with her down the hallway. A visitor? Who would want to see me? My family is dead and Jeff is somewhere on the run, or dead himself. Y/n. It had to be her, right?
(y/n's POV)
I could feel my hands shake and my stomach turn as I sit in the cold room on a cheap plastic chair that looks like it belongs in a public school classroom. Ahead of me was a flat empty desk and blank white walls surrounding the dreary space. It really caught me off guard, I mean, part of me expected this to be like some prison visit, but it was so isolated. I looked up to see four cameras in each of the room. I guessed the visitations must have been heavily monitored, but it felt so oddly unnerving now that I was here. I looked back down avoiding the cameras as much as possible. The suspense was killing me, just sitting here waiting to see my friend after such an awful incident. I didn't know if he would be the same Liu that I love so much.
"Y/n....?" I was snapped out of my thoughts as a voice was heard from the open door across from me. "Liu?! Oh my god, it's you!" I almost fell out of my seat in a mix of curiosity, excitement, and joy. The nurse beside him took her hand of Liu's arm and began to speak. "You have a fifteen-minute visit at maximum. It will be heavily monitored, and if any suspicious activity is to happen, we will have security remove you both from this room. Use your time wisely, and refrain from touching as much as possible." With that she walked out, leaving the door a crack open.
I looked at him for a few seconds before I spoke, as I watched him make way to the chair across from me. "Liu, I don't know what to say. I missed you so so so much and I don't really know what happened, but these days without you have been absolute hell and I wish this never happened to you I just-" I stopped and looked at him. His hazel eyes were bloodshot and puffy, and it looked as if he hadn't slept in days. His hair. I always enjoyed the fluffy texture when I ran my fingers through his curly mop of locks, but now it was matted and unbrushed, sticking up here and there. I missed his hair so much. And his face. It was so pale and miserable, the only thing that remained the same was the freckles sprinkled here and there, but they still seemed to fade with our time apart. The worst part was a long, but thin line of stitched concealing a scar from the corner of his right eye to his left cheek. He was dressed in a plain black long-sleeved shirt with a white and black striped scarf that I'd never seen before. At least it was still Liu.....
"Y-y/n" he was seated across from me now, staring back into my eyes. "Do you know what even happened?" I tried my best to explain what I had seen that night and what my mother told me, but the fact that I didn't know any of the specific details leading up to the incident still left me stuttering. He placed both his hands on the table and looked down, as he began to speak again. "I have so much to tell you in such a short time. I don't know how to tell you all this, y/n. I really don't, but Jeff is gone. My parents are gone. You're all I have left." His voice started to shake as his eyes filled with tears. Slowly I placed my hands on his as he moved his head back up to look at me. His hands were so cold, they felt like soft snow. I entwined my fingers with his and replied. "Liu, I promise you one thing. Right now, I'm all you need, and you can tell me anything that's on your mind right now. I promise that I will believe every word you say. I promise." I soft smile spread across his face as he looked at me, and began explaining...
