Y/N POV:
Two more periods of the day, and all this hell will be finished with. Several people including my own friends have brought up Liu and Jeff already and just the subject matter made my stomach twist up. Even if a lot of kids were oblivious to my reasons with the Woods brothers, part of m felt constantly violated, like i was some statue that everyone could stare at, climb on, and mistreat until it finally crumbled and fell. Thats when people decide not to give a fuck anymore. I watched to painfully slow ticking of the clock in the corner of my math class as my teacher babbled on about the subjects and what not that we'd be learning about this year.
Just five minutes before the last period, the boy in front of me turned around with a big flashing grin as his two devilish eyes squinted slightly, ready to taunt me more. It was Aaron Haines. I knew the this kid. Not personally, but boys like this were hard not to notice because of their loud obnoxious behavior that they never failed to carry out through every class they actually showed up to. By now, I knew what was coming. "So," he started, "You were friends with the two psychopaths, right?"
Before I could say anything, he continued. "I mean, I know that you knew them, so don't try to deny anything. Did you see the dead bodies of the parents? Oh, and I heard the living one is on the lose, are you hiding him in your closet or some shit?" The boy started chucking slightly, drawing attention from some of the nearby students.
"Just shut up, okay? You don't know what you're talking about, jackass" I whispered back to him, almost furious at this point.
"Excuse me? You two in the back, turn around and pay attention!" The teacher silenced us both and Aaron turned back around after giving me another of his taunting expressions. Running my hands trough my hair, I tried my best to calm myself as the bell rang for the final period of the day. Bitches like him were not worth getting so angry about. I just have to remember that he's not an enemy, he's just a minor inconvenience.
Liu's POV:
I had been hiding in the woods for hours now trying my hardest to put together some sort of plan, and I knew that there couldn't be much time before se came back home. I had to make some sort of move now, or wait until tomorrow, which wouldn't be the best idea given the idea that I had to move fast. My best idea was to leave her something to let her know I was here, without revealing myself. I guess it would be the safest out of every other scenario, but I had to trust that she won't go to the police, and everything is still risky.
Reaching towards the front pocket of my coat, I removed a pin that Jeff gave to me for my fourteenth birthday. I used to wear this jacket all the time when y/n, Jeff and I would hang out together, so the odds were that she would recognize it, besides, I wasn't given that much from my old home, so I had to use what i had, and start small.
Making my way to her doorstep, I quickly ran up, keeping watch of my surroundings and gently placed the pin face up, a few inched in front of the door, making sure it was noticeable before i ran back behind the ouse and further in the back of the wooded area. Now all I do is wait, and hope to god for the best.
