My Little ray of Sunshine

Chapter 11

Adam's POV
After hearing her story, it was unlike anything I've heard. The fact that she's still standing here today, even though she's been through so much makes my heart swell. My Luna is strong and my wolf agreed. She's like a ray of sunshine finding good in the bad but still growing.
Im glad she agreed to stay with us, now I know she'll be safe and away from harm. When we got to the car I mind linked my parents.
"Mom, dad my mate is coming to stay with us, along with her siblings. I'll discus more with y'all later."
I ended the mind link and put up a wall in my head so I can concentrate on my sunshine.
Who was in my passenger seat nervously. What happened? Did I do something wrong? Maybe I should ask if she can move to my place today, the quicker the better.
"When can you and your siblings move in with my family?, I honestly prefer it to be today but it's your choice." Wolf was yelling at us to protect mate. Pushing him away I wouldn't hurt my mate in anyway.
She looked at me shockingly and said "really we can move in today, don't you need to tell your family?"
Was this what she was worried about.
"You are welcomed to anything, what's mine is now yours." Her face was in deep thought so I put my hand on hers that were in her lap. Gently holding it and moving my thumb around a freckle near her forefinger. With that I let go and started up the Jeep, looking at the time I realized that we were gone for two hours and was well into third period. "When do you wanna get your stuff, sunshine?"
Looking in the corner of my eye I see a slight blush on her face, she's so cute.
"Well seeing as we have half a day left we can go now then pick up the little ones from there school, is that okay? I promise we don't have much." She rambled on.
"Yeah that's perfect just show me where you live and I'll help get y'all's stuff." Hopefully I didn't seem to awkward. Seeing her nodding at what I said she led me to her house. The drive there consisted of her telling me to go left or right. We were entering the bad side of town where all the run down houses were at. She couldn't possible be living here it's horrible. She pointed to a certain house that looked to be about two stories and looked so old I think it might fall down. Parking up the curb I didn't see any other car in the driveway. She nervously opens the car door door and stated. " let's do this quickly before they come back." I nodded though my wolf wants them to come so he can rip their throats out and torture them for what they did to our mate. 
We walked into the house, it looked nasty beer bottles everywhere. Trash pushed to the walls. Dishes all over the tables and counters. But It did look like someone tried to tidy up. She made her way up the stairs and turning left into a small bedroom with 3 little beds. I questionably asked " I thought you had more siblings?" She was going through their clothes and putting them in bags but stopped to answer. "There's seven of them, Ben the second oldest he has his own bed, and the three girls Sage, Lavender, Hera on one and the three boys Henry, Lucifer, and Hunter on the other." She looked sad while saying this. I wanted to hug her sadness away. She had a pile of bags on the floor in a pile and looked around the room and sighed. I picked up the bags that she had on the floor and walked to the Jeep to put them in. Done with that task I went inside to smell her in the kitchen. I found her in the pantry packing up clothes that were on the floor and a small bed was beside her. This couldn't possible be where she sleeps. Wolf was growling at how mistreated our mate was. I stood by the entrance of the pantry and waited till she was done witch wasn't long, her bag was as small as the children's. "Is there anything else that y'all need?" I'll have to take her shopping. She said no, thank god cause I wanted to get out of here. Gives me bad vibes and the smell smelled of rogues and seeing as we were in neutral territory they have free reign. I grabbed her hand and steered us out of there to the Jeep and left. I went to the middle school and we both got out when she asked me to stay in the car. I don't want to leave her alone but I also don't want her mad at me so I stayed in the car. Waiting patiently she came back with three of the seven kids. They were shocked as they walked to the Jeep. My mate must have told them. They all came in the Jeep and were quiet. It was okay though and went to drive to the elementary. He also waited patiently while Adeline went into the school. The oldest boy kept staring at him with Curiosity. The girls only looked down or out the window. Before he spoke the Jeep door opened and the littles one behind my mate. My mate told them to sit in the laps of the older ones. A little boy was stuck to her arm and sat with her in the Jeep. Everyone was quiet, so I decided to break it. " My home is very nice y'all would like it, there's a pool game room many things to keep y'all busy and many rooms so y'all can have your own." Still they were quiet until the little boy on my sunshine's lap said thank you, after he had said it all the other kids in the back said it as well. They didn't have to they were part of my mate and after seeing how they were treated it's all going to change they won't have to live like that.
