"Marco!!" I yelled at the top of my lungs. Where is that butler?! I thought. We should fire him! Oh yeah, my maid likes him so she would be devastated if he left.
Then I saw a tall, thin body run down the hall. Finally, I thought. Marco was carrying a silver platter with a glass of lemonade. He handed it to me as he said, "Yes, Ellie dear?" He looked pained.
"I have been waiting here for an hour!!" I yelled at him. "Whatever, did you get a call from Toby? Or a package?"
"No, my dear. Did he say he did? Maybe you will get one soon..." He said while scratching his chin.
Toby was my boyfriend. My mom says I am too young, but I don't care. I love him, and he loves me.
"Okay." I said, "You can leave now."
"Yes ma'am." He said.
I twiddled with my thumbs until I got a text. I picked up my phone as soon as I heard the Briing! It was Toby! He said, "Hey babe, when can we talk? I haven't seen you in awhile. Love you."
I texted back, "Hey Toby! I'll FaceTime you, okay?"
"Kay." Is all he texted back.
As I FaceTimed him, I was worried because he didn't pick until the very end. For a second, I thought I heard him say, "Hurry! Get out of the frame!!"
Then I saw a girl for a moment in the background. It was Jenny, the "popular girl" at my school. I felt tears burn my eyes, but I forced them in. I managed to say a usual, "Hey babe."
He said back, "Hey. I have to go now, but I will talk to you later."
I nodded and said bye. I don't know what happened, but I think he forgot to end it, so as soon as he "ended" it Jenny ran towards him and they started kissing. As soon as he saw I was there, he looked shocked and I ended it.
I started sobbing for what seemed about an hour, until the door rang. Marco opened it, revealing Toby holding a bouquet of flowers. As soon as I saw him, I sobbed even harder.
"What's wrong, darling?" Marco said in his British accent.
"Get him away from me! He only likes me for my money!!!!" I yelled, which caused me to sob again.
"I am so sorry Toby, but I can't let you in. Ever again!" Marco said. He looked furious and slammed the door shut.
Marco comforted me for a while and left. By then, I had stopped crying. I moved on and started playing video games. My mother hates video games because she says they are "unlady-like" but I don't care.
"Dinner is ready!" I heard Martha, my maid, yell.
I ran downstairs and ate my favorite food, spaghetti. My mouth filled with a tasty sensation as soon as the spaghetti touched my lips. When I finished eating, I went upstairs to my room to read my favorite book, The Fault In Our Stars. But before I could even reach my book, I got a text. From Toby.
It said, "Hey babe, I'm sorry about today. I hope you still want me. I made a huge mistake today and I am really sorry. Please please reply soon. And I don't want you for your money, I want you for you! I still love you..."
I laughed in rage at his pathetic text.
Anyways, I texted him back:
To Tobias Miles,
I don't give a piece of dog poop about your pathetic love letters. I bet you do that to all you girlfriends, considering you probably have 23! Anyways, to get to the point, screw you and I am never dating you ever again. So good luck in finding a new rich girlfriend!
Your ex,
Elizabeth Walkers
I smiled as I sent it to him, not wanting to ever be in a relationship EVER again. I am too young to date anyways.
I gathered all his stupid love letters and burned them in the fireplace. As I was throwing them on the ground outside, I noticed about 5 people walking around, but it was really hard to see through the darkness. That's strange, I thought. Nobody walks outside this late at night. I checked the time. It said 11:34.
"Crud!" I said out loud. As soon as I said it, the people started walking towards me. Feeling scared and a bit worried, I ran back inside. I should be getting to bed, I thought.
But I couldn't stop thinking about those weird people. It seemed like they were hypnotized or something. I shook the thought away and slept.
I fell asleep faster than usual that night. I was proud of myself for standing up to Toby.
But I woke up to a bloodcurdling scream down the hallway.
My parents' bedroom...
