The Legend: There is No Escaping

Chapter 3: The Wrong Decision

That night when Tony gets home Lynda runs up to him with the issue and she tells him about the legend and the little signs she has been noticing, he replies with "stop with all that bullshit, it is just a bunch of nonsense people made up because it's a boring old town. Now let's go to sleep."

Lynda got really upset because he would not listen to her. She tried to argue back a little telling him that she was scared being in the house and she didn't want to be alone and he got very irritated and said, "if you are so scared then just leave but if not just come in bed and go to sleep" and he went to sleep.

She was very tempted to leave... not because she was scared but because of how rude Tony was being, but the deep down she knew that Tony wasn't acting normal, that there was something bothering him because normally he is the happiest person in the house.

She set her alarm and went to sleep. The next morning comes around and she realizes that she had slept in, so she runs to Deans room to see if he was up, but he was asleep, same thing with Caitlyn. Lynda wakes both the kids up and asks if they somehow forgot to set their alarm but they both swear that they did.

She goes to wake up Tony, so she could ask him again about Owen Myers coming, when he wakes up and sees that he had also slept in he gets up quickly and with an attitude says, "why the hell didn't you wake me up earlier, now I'm gonna be late!" as he is rushing to het ready to leave for work she tries to bring it up... but once again he shuts down the idea of bringing him in.

Later on Lynda drops off the kids and goes grocery shopping. Once she gets home she gets the bags out of the car and heads towards the door, she goes to unlock it but notices that it was unlocked and got scared thinking that maybe someone had broke in but then started thinking and thought to herself that she probably just forgot to lock it.

She goes in the house and starts to put away the groceries. She put all the bags on the island top and started to put the things away, she took out a can of beans and put it on the counter top, she turned to the pantry to make room and as she looked away the can fell right off the counter and unlucky for her, the can broke and made a huge mess.

At this point she had it, she didn't care about what Tony said so she called Owen and he said he would be able to come in sometime in the evening.

Around 7:30 pm Owen comes knocking at the door and Lynda opens and greets him, just him being in the house made her feel safe. He asked her if he could just take a lap around the house and see if he notices anything odd. As he was taking his lap around the house, Tony pulls into the driveway.

He gets out of the car and enters the house all moody saying "who's car is in our damn driveway?" Lynda replies with "its Owen Myers car, I called him beca,," cutting her off, Tony says " what the fuck is he doing here? Didn't I say no to this nonsense?"

Tony aggressively calls Owen and tells him to come to living room. Owen does so and Tony starts right away, "get the fuck out of my house, I don't need you being here putting shit in my wife's head and getting her all paranoid." Owen replied "sir, there is an entity in this house, I am not quite sure if it is the same as the legend but there is something and I can help yo.." "I don't need your help or anyone's help, now get out of my damn house!" Tony yelled.

Owen leaves and Lynda starts to break down in tears because she is scared, she told Tony that she was leaving because she couldn't take him or the house anymore, so she packed up and told the kids to get ready and they left.
