Chapter 8: The Cure

Dean and Caitlyn both struck with fear, Dean gets up to see who is outside because the knocking doesn't stop. "It's a man" says Dean as he looks through the peep hole. He opens the door and the man goes "You two are Caitlyn and Dean, right?"

"Yeah... but who are you?" asked Dean. The man replies "My name is Michael Jones, my son is Albert Jones. Dean, my son told you about the legend in this town... I am here to help you with that, I have been following you for a while and now the time has come to get rid of them once and for all."

"But its over, we burned down the house and the demon that possessed my mom was there, they are both gone" said Dean with tears in his eyes. "No, I know what evil you are dealing with, I know the truth of the legend, she and your mom are alive. I know how to get rid of the demon and save your mom." Said Michael.

"What do you mean you know the truth?" asked Dean. "People who tell the story tend to say it's the father who killed the family, yes the father became an asshole... but the real monster was the mother and she now possessed your mom, she killed her husband and the kids and now she possessed your mom and is trying to do the same to you."

"What is your plan to stop her?" asked Caitlyn. "First, we are going to need to lure her to the house where it all happened, your house. Then we will have to trap her, and I will perform an exorcism and you guys have to try to make your mom remember you, you have to make her overcome the demon, tell her how much you guys love her, remind her of your greatest memories." Said Michael

"Okay, I know how I can get some help to lure her." Said Dean. "Okay you go, take this walkie-talkie so we can keep in touch, and we will meet you at the house. Let's put an end to this once and for all." Replied Michael. Dean left, walked behind the building, closed his eyes and tried to call out to Adler.

"What do you need?" hears Dean, he opens his eyes and sees Adler. "I need your help to lure my mom back to our house, we need to save her." Said Dean. Adler replies, "all you need to do is wait there, she will come for you, especially after what you did." And Adler disappears.

Dean goes to the house and sits outside, he picks up the walkie-talkie and says, "she should be here soon, I just have to wait outside for her." A few seconds later he hears, "okay, just remember the plan."

Dean stands up slowly as he sees a shadow in the distance "we've got company" he said to the walkie-talkie as he starts to step into the house. The demon starts to run and so does Dean, she is catching up to him as he gets closer to the basement, he opens the door to the basement and runs in and ducks as she follows and Michael hits her in the knees with a bat and she trips onto the floor, before she could react he picks her up and throws her into a cellar and locks the door.

Dean is out of breath, but he looks up and sees Tony tied up to a chair and looks at Michael, "He is alive, I will explain later, just start telling her stories, now!" said Michael. Dean and Caitlyn are both standing there shouting out their greatest memories trying to get their mother back while Michael is performing an exorcism.

Lynda starts floating and screaming and banging into every corner in the cellar, but no one stops saying what they must. Suddenly, Lynda screams louder than ever and drops to the ground, she doesn't move an inch, they all go quiet.

"Is this supposed to happen?" asked Dean, "Just give her a few minutes" replied Michael. Lynda lifts her head as she sobs knowing what she had done and what was trying to do, "She is back" said Michael. Dean grabs Caitlyn's hand and takes her into the cellar and they both go to Lynda, so they can be together.

A few minutes after Dean goes to Michael and asks about Tony, "He is alive, he was cloned by the father and he tried to save you guys, it was Adler's father who took the axe to his chest, not your Father. The reason he is tied up and unconscious is because Adler's dad did not want him to walk up and try to help, this was the only way to keep him safe."

Dean runs up to Tony who is still unconscious, gives him a hug and tells him how much he loves him. "I love you too buddy" he hears back in a low tone. "Not to ruin this family moment but we should get you guys to a hospital" said Michael.

They finally cured their family from the curse and sent the Demon back to hell where it can no longer harm anyone else, or so they thought.
