The Legend: There is No Escaping

Chapter 6: Escape Gone Wrong

Without thinking twice Dean ran all the way home, he sees Adler on the porch and he says, "your sister is hiding in my spot in the basement" and the front door unlocks and slowly opens, Dean heads down into the basement and finds Caitlyn hiding.

"how did you find this spot?" asked Dean, Caitlyn frightened points directly behind him and there stood Adlers sister, Annie. "dad is trying to kill me" said Caitlyn, "don't worry, I will get you out of here" replied Dean.

She gets out of the spot and follows Dean as he grabs a baseball bat out of a box in the corner of the room. They head upstairs and there is no sight of Tony. They start heading towards the front door and when they open it, Tony is standing by entrance and says, "hello children, going somewhere?"

Dean and Caitlyn run towards the back of the house to try and escape but tony chases them and he trips Caitlyn and pulls her back in towards him, Dean goes towards his father and swings the bat and hits him right in the head, Tony drops to the floor.

Caitlyn gets back up and they run out the front door. Caitlyn picks up her dads keys on the way out the door and she decides to take the truck. They get in and Caitlyn starts the truck and as she does so, Tony comes running outside.

Without thinking she puts the car in drive and hits Tony, he falls back to the ground and stays there, she reverses the truck and drives off. Now they are both a little more at peace thinking that Tony is dead.

Caitlyn and Dean arrive back their aunts house just to find that things have gotten even worse there. "what the hell is going on over here?" said Caitlyn as she is looking at her aunts house. Their mother I on the porch covered in blood, her aunts body is hanging on a rope from Deans room window. Her body is dripping in blood.

"Dean, you have been a very bad boy, I know what happened to Owen" said Lynda. Dean was shocked and scared that she found out and wondered how, then he felt a sudden gust of wind and saw Adler's mother, Catherine. Standing directly behind Lynda, he knew that his aunt was dead because of Lynda.

"Get in the car and lets go" whispered Caitlyn to Dean, they jumped back in the car, luckily they were standing next to it. As Caitlyn drove off Dean turned and looked at his mother who wasn't moving but was just staring at them with a blank look in her face as they drive off, glad they got away but scared because he knew that wasn't the end of it.

"Where are we going?" asked Dean, "I don't know... just as far from here as possible." Replied Caitlyn. They made it about 60 miles away and that's when the car stopped, unfortunately they ran out of gas.

Caitlyn and Dean continued on foot for a bit until they came across a car in a parking lot that was left on but the driver was inside the store. They both convinced themselves to steal the car so they can get away as far as possible so they got in and drove off.

They are now driving on a one way lane and it is very dark outside, Caitlyn looks in her rear-view mirror and sees Catherine in the back seat, she looks back and Catherine screams "SHE IS GOING TO GET YOU." Caitlyn screams and looses control and ends up crashing into a pole.

Both Dean and Caitlyn go unconscious. When they wake up they are tied up in a room with blindfolds on. Dean crying calls out for Caitlyn, but she is too weak to answer back clearly.

They both hear a door open and footsteps approaching but they can't see who it is, Dean feels a cold hand on his shoulder and screams in fear. Caitlyn in pain but knows her brother is in trouble, she quietly starts to rub the rope on the brick wall slowly ripping it.

She finally breaks free and takes off her blind fold, she looks up to see who took them but she still can't see, glass had gone in her eyes when she got into the accident but hadn't realized up until now that she couldn't see.

She started yelling saying "TAKE ME INSTEAD, LET DEAN GO." She doesn't hear anything back, so she calls out "Dean... are you there?" but suddenly, she feels the same cold hand on her shoulder.
