The summer haze

I woke up to the smell of bacon, a smell that I normally don't wake up to. My grandmothers house is so peaceful. Except the fact I need to sleep on a hard sofa and that my friends are 3 hours away from me. I got up and went to the bathroom. It's such a beautiful color in there, a light pink that would match the beautiful summer haze.
-Good morning sweetheart!
-Morning ma. Is this bacon for me?
-Yes dear! So how's the star of summer?
-Not so great, there's nothing to do... I wish I had a summer love you know?
-Oh darling, women don't need men! Men needs us!
My grandmother would always be supportive about these kind of subject. I ate all of my breakfast and went to change. I choose to wore a light yellow crop top and white shirt with my bikini under it. I suddenly grab my phone to see what day it was. It was the 11th of July. Tomorrow was finally that family party i've been waiting for. We all have that part of the family that we don't know as well as the others, well that's my part of it. I took my earphones and ran outside to go sit on the side of the pool.
When I layed down, I just scrolled down the Facebook news feed since that's all our generation have to do now. Suddenly the screen changes to "The stupid idiot Caleb trapped me with...Is calling''. I had to answer. It's been two days that i've been video chatting with this guy who's really quiet that I still hang with and Jackson, his best friend. On video chat Caleb actually talks and I can see in his beautiful blue eyes that he enjoys these stay up all night calls.
-Hello! It's the lady from the Philippines,
-Oh, shut up Jackson! Pass me Caleb.
Jackson loves to mess around and say stuff like that but like when he says that all the time it gets kind of annoying. It all started with a prank call that frustrated me. They woke me up at 3am and saying crazy stuff, they just sounded drunk but totally sober. I can't explain how mad I was, I told Caleb that I will never go hang with him again.
-Hey Ari!
-Ari?
-Yup your Ari now OK ?
-Uhm, OK! Please promise no more prank calls for a while!
-I promise!
-Anyways I need to go, i'll talk to you later

I spended my whole day at the pool with my mom and sister. Tomorrow we have a big day. I looked at my phone one last time. I thought about my new two friends as I felt my eye close as if weights feel on them.
