I wake up with a long, dramatic sigh.
It's just one of those days where you don't want to do anything you know? You don't want to wake up, you don't want to get up... you barely even want to breathe.
It's just how it is sometimes but I will myself to get up anyways because you know, life doesn't stop for anyone.
I sigh again, pulling myself out of bed and groaning with a stretch. I rub my eyes before going over to my balcony window and opening it.
My room lights up, my room less bare now that I've hung a few of my paintings up.
I smile at my most recent one. It's a painting of a bowl of cereal and boxes surrounding. I don't know why I decided to paint a bowl of cereal? Maybe because it's all Elias eats and everything I notice he does intrigues me... I don't know.
"Hmm," I sigh, looking through my closet.
It's now fall which means I can wear all the sweaters I want. I smile at the fact, pulling out a dark red one that I pair with dark jeans and some docs.
Of course, upon seeing my shoes Elias snorts.
"What? Are you laughing at my shoes?" I ask knowingly as I send my daily streaks to Rhei and Adonis (who insisted that we start one with him).
Elias just nonchalantly continues eating his cereal as I take a seat on a stool across from where he's standing, leaning across the island.
"Is that all you ever eat?" I ask, taking in his freshly curled hair and hoodie.
Today was his first day back at school and I was curious to know if he was excited or not. I decide to ask him later though.
He shrugs, looking me in the eyes. "It's good."
I purse my lips, looking at the three opened boxes of cereal.
"Why are all three boxes open? Are they empty?"
He slurps a spoonful of Honey Bunches of Oats almost obnoxiously. "Nope."
I look at him and I blink.
He stares back unbothered.
"So they're just all opened because?"
"Yup."
I chew my bottom lip in thought. "You know I'd usually say something, maybe complain a little but I know you'll probably finish these within two days seeing as you know... cereal is all you eat," I shrug.
He rolls his eyes. "Negative."
I quirk a brow. "Okay, other than my moms cooking and fast food what else do you eat? Because I noticed you don't really eat microwave food."
He seems almost surprised at that observation but he doesn't say anything, just shrugs.
"Sandwiches be good sometimes," he says and I try to keep a straight face but a chuckle slips.
"Oh my god," I rub my eyes, holding back a laugh. "But cereal is your go to right?"
"Cereal damn there everyone go to."
