"Eugene!"
Rapunzel sat up, her eyes wide. She looked around frantically.
"Woah, woah, Punz. Relax," Jack said, trying to soothe her. "Eugene's fine. It was all just a nightmare."
"A nightmare?" Rapunzel said. She frowned, shaking her head a little. "No, that couldn't be a nightmare. That- That was too real."
"I know," Jack said. "It felt too real for all of us."
"This is happening to the others too?" Rapunzel said.
"Well, was happening to the others. All except for Galaxy, the others have woken up," Jack said.
"Wait, was that why you were in my dream?" Rapunzel frowned deeper. "You were trying to wake me up?"
"You could say that."
"Wow," Rapunzel said, shaking her head in disbelief. "It seems like I was knocked out far longer than what I thought of originally."
"Believe me, we all felt the same after just waking up," Jack chuckled.
"You should probably find the others. They're around here somewhere...," he looked around. "There they are." he pointed to the others, who were looking out from behind an especially large boulder. Rapunzel craned her neck to get a better look. When the others saw her awake and well, they smiled and gestured for her to join them.
"It seems like I'm needed somewhere else," Rapunzel laughed lightly. She turned to Jack. "Besides, I don't want to keep you from helping Galaxy."
Jack nodded. "Yeah." And to his surprise, Rapunzel clasped him in a warm hug.
"Thanks, Jack," she said, letting go of him and smiling. "Even though it was just bad dream...your words meant a lot to me back there.Thank you."
"It's my pleasure," Jack said, a twinkle in his eye. "I just told you what you needed to hear, that's all. It's nothing special."
"To me it was," Rapunzel smiled. "And that counts as an important opinion, right?"
"Right," Jack chuckled.
"Well, that's enough dawdling for now," Rapunzel said. "After all, you have someone else to save."
Jack nodded. "You sure all of you will be okay? I don't know how long the Black Dragon will be preoccupied." He looked at the dozing dragon. He wished that he could kill it right then and there, but it might mess up the process in saving Galaxy.
That means that I should stop lingering and get some actual work done. Jack thought. So we can end this once and for all.
When Jack reached Galaxy's side, he was really stunned to find her sitting up, eyes open. For a moment he thought that she had somehow woken up from her nightmare, but the way she wouldn't react to his touch or voice suggested otherwise.
Unlike the others who had been laying down and had occasionally moaned and whimpered in their sleep, Galaxy looked like she was going through a dark demon that only Jack could imagine how horrible it was. She wasn't just moaning or whimpering. No, she was crying and sobbing. She was clutching her hair tightly, so tightly that her knuckles were white. Her whole body was shaking and quivering, as if she was cold. But her eyes. Her eyes was so full of dark secrets and inner demons that Jack pulled back for a moment. When he stared into her lavender orbs once again, he could see something. Something so familiar....
