Hey, guys! Hope you enjoy this chapter and happy reading!

Jack's eyes flickered open. Sitting up, he rubbed his forehead. While the pain wasn't entirely gone, it was definitely much better than earlier.

He looked around, wondering where he was. He was surprised to see that he was in a room.

Bruce and Vera must have put me here when I passed out. Jack thought, feeling guilty that he had made them go through that trouble.

Beside him, he heard a moan. Sitting up straighter, he looked to see what had made the noise. He was startled to see the others on the floor.

"Elsa!" he whispered frantically, getting off the bed and coming to her side. She opened her eyes and smiled at him.

"Jack!" she said, sitting up and hugging him. "Where are we?" she asked, looking around.

"I think Bruce and Vera put us here for the-" he stopped, checking to look outside. "Night?!"

"It's already nighttime?" Elsa said, coming to the window.

"We wasted a lot of time here," Jack said and cursed. "We've got to wake the others to get moving."

"Or you might not, lad!" Merida said, popping up between him and Elsa. Jack almost screamed.

"Stop doing that!" he said irritably. "I could have killed you!"

"I don't think you would," Hiccup's voice rang out in the dark.

Jack scowled in the direction of his silhouette. "Why? You think that I'm not capable of-"

Hiccup shook his head. "No, it's not that. Our weapons are gone."

Instinctively, they all reached for their swords, but just as Hiccup had said, they were gone.

“How could they be gone?” Jack said. “We had it with us all the time.”

“That just shows that something’s not right,” Galaxy’s soft voice said. “I wasn’t sure if my feelings about this place were correct, but now I have a better understanding and I’m definitely sure there’s something going on here that we don’t know about.”

“Which is?” Anna asked.

Galaxy sighed. “Just to be perfectly sure, let me ask you all a few questions.”

The group nodded.

“When we were all exploring the place, don’t you think that you found it a little bit odd that no one was outside?” Galaxy asked.

Hannah shrugged. “Not really. Vera did say that they were all celebrating at her house for Bruce’s birthday.”

“Yes, but did you notice that all the windows were closed, so that no light came in? And did you see her kind of shaking and twitching when she opened the door for us And how she managed to hear Hannah when even we couldn't?”

"That's true," Rapunzel murmured.

"And did anyone else notice how fast Bruce came to our table?"

"I did," Jack raised a hand. "Although, I thought it was just my imagination and hunger taking over me."

"And didn't you all feel a little bit sick after drinking that drink Vera gave us?"

"The apple cider?" Anna asked. "That was delicious!" When everyone gave her a serious look, she added, "But, yeah. It did make me feel sort of sick afterwards."

"Not to mention that he said that he was so old, he could barely keep track of his age," Hiccup said, rubbing his chin. "It may be just a metaphor, but the way he said it was kind of suspicious."

Galaxy nodded. "And our weapons are gone, so my assumption is true." She paced around the room, her feet barely making any sound. She looked at the window, where not even the moon lit up the night. "And it's dark, so it just adds to it," she murmured to herself.

"What is it, Galaxy?" Jack asked.

Galaxy looked at them, a grim look on her face. "Guys, I don't think we're staying in a house full of people. We're staying in a house of-"

All of a sudden, a violent knocking and rattling came from the door, as if someone or something was trying to get in.

"Vampires," Galaxy finished, running to the door and trying to put all of her weight against it.

The others came to her side, combining all of their weight against the door.

"Vampires?" Rapunzel squeaked. "I thought those things were just a myth."

Galaxy shook her head. "Unfortunately, they're very much real. They purposefully drugged us with that drink so they could have a chance to get our blood."

"It's either they must have measured wrong, or we all just had a good recovery time because we're definitely awake," Jack said.

"What should we do?" Hiccup asked. "We don't have our weapons."

The banging became much stronger and louder. The door almost lurched inward.

"Can't you just teleport us out of here?" Merida asked.

Galaxy shook her head. "I wish. But there's so much magical energy around here that it has a very high chance of something going wrong.

"We're either going to try to fight all of them, or we have to make a run for it," Galaxy said. "But knowing that they're much faster than a normal human, I think our only option is to fight."

The banging was more persistent and more forceful. At any moment, the door would break if they didn't open it.

"Then fight we will," Hannah said, a determined look on her face.

"What's the best way to fight them?" Elsa asked.

"You're going to have to go for anywhere in the face. That's where their senses are highly heightened. And try to cover your neck as much as possible. These creatures play dirty so they'll take every opportunity to try to bite your neck," Galaxy said.

"Here's the plan," Galaxy said, and started whispering to all of them. When she was done, the others nodded in agreement.

After about three minutes, the door finally broke. On the other side, a mass of vampires were waiting.

"Oh dearies?" Vera asked, her sickeningly sweet voice echoing around the room. She looked around. "We just wanted to check up on you. Maybe you need some more blankets, a cup of water, a snack." she emphasized the last word, making all the other vampires lick their lips and make their teeth sharpen more.

They all paused, waiting for any sign of movement of sound. Then Galaxy's voice rang out,

"Go!"

AN: Yep, vampires, that's all I've got to say. But I put a little hint in the previous chapter and here to foreshadow what the group will face. It takes a lot of analyzing to know what I put (or it may not. Half of it depends on literature, though). Anyways, thanks for reading and see you in the next chapter!
