As the joint Eldar and space marine forces approached the burned village they searched for survivors.

SM(Space Marine): Sir! Doesn't look like any person burned it, Orks maybe, but when we saw the place where the fire most likely originated it looked like it came from the sky, and no promethium could be found.

Ra: I see, have we found any survivors?

SM: Yes, one female. Similar to Eldar in appearance but when our techmarine did a scan she had different biology, save the ears. That was the only thing that was the same.

Ra hummed in thought, in his thousand years of service he had heard of species that splintered from the main human baseline, Ogryn's were one example. But to have a totally different biology from a possible ancestor save some sensory organs was practically unheard of in the modern day.

Ra: Take her with us, she may yet hold valuable information.

Warlock: Is that wise? She may still bear scars from the battle and have a psychic breakdown.

Ra: Then we can use both our psychic might to calm her down, the masters of change are also potent when it comes to psychic power.

The warlock grumbled, they took the body of the unknown female onto their Thunderhawk and took off. About 30 minutes in the apothecary came up to the two leaders of the group

SMA(Space Marine Apothecary): She is waking up.

Ra nodded and went back to the hold where the civilian was held. She was groaning and her steps were swaying back and fourth as she slowly got up. She then screamed when she noticed what was around her, in her mind she saw devilish golems surrounding her and she saw other figures. Possibly mages in her eyes, they wore fine robes and one had a staff in hand after all.

Girl: (Random gibberish that sounds vaguely like latin/low gothic)

Ra: Apothecary, do you think we can use our powers to understand what she says?

SMA: Worth a shot.

Ra's eyes glowed from behind his helmet and he grunted a bit before he started to understand what the Eldar look alike was saying.

Girl: S-stay away from me monsters!

Ra: We are not monsters miss, now what is your name and what happened to your Villa?

Gril: D-dragon. A great f-fire dragon.

Ra wondered if they were any similar to the drakes of Nocturne, he was with his primarch when they found Vespine of the salamanders, and saw the massive beasts that inhabited the wasteland outside the cities.

Ra: What is the nearest town or Villa?

Girl: C-Coda Village sir.

Ra: Sister, do you see any form of settlement nearby?

Pilot: Yes, 24 klicks to the west.

Ra: Take us there, and ready a Vox between me and Ahriman, we may need extra transports.

Pilot: Yessir.

Later

When the group arrived at the village people were hiding from them and locking their doors and windows as they passed then the village leader came out.

Leader: Why have you come here?

Ra: To warn you. A 'great fire dragon' is coming your way. It already destroyed a village, and yours is the closest one near to it. Also what is the total amount of people here?

Leader: there are 600 people here sir.

Ra: Damn. Get me a vox to Ahriman, immediately
