Calum?" I asked walking in our house. Yes, our house. We we're both in our twenties now and out of Highschool. We got to know each other really well in my Freshman year and we both agreed that we did have feelings for each other. But we knew that our relationship wouldn't work with him graduating that same year. I went to his graduation where he told me he decided to go to the college in our city, so we could give us a chance. We've been together since. In fact its been 8 years now. It seems crazy to be with someone for sigh years but its not crazy. Its love.

"Calum? You in here? The door was open." I called out again.

Silence.

"Calum? Babe?" I walked into the kitchen to see some Chinese food out with a note attached to it. I picked the note up and sighed.

I have late classes today and I'm so sorry that I won't be here for our 8-year :( I feel bad so I bought you some Chinese because I know its your favorite. Why do you go lie down in our room and get some rest. We can do everything tomorrow. I love you ❤

I felt my eyes water because I really wanted to spend today with him and he's not here. He's never misses our anniversary and its upsetting he won't be making this one.

Deciding to take his advice, I grabbed the food and trudged up the stairs fighting back tears. I opened the door and dropped the food. The room was lit up with candles all different shapes and sizes. There was little flower petals spread all over the floor. Calum stood there in his varsity jacket from highschool and had my school hoodie in his hands. A smile was on his lips and he motioned towards him. I stepped over the, now, ruined food and walked over to him. He smiled and pulled the hoodie over my head. He smiled and pressed play on the outdated CD player. I immediately knew the song and it brought tears to my eyes. It was our song.

"You tell me that you're sad and lost your way..." The familiar lyrics rang through the room. Of course, I started crying. Calum wrapped his arms around my waist and I wrapped mine around his neck. He began swaying us while he softly sang the lyrics.

"And if you wanna cry or fall apart I'll be there to hold you." Calum sang softly, then kissed my forehead. After the song he stepped back and took a deep breath.

"We've been together for 8 years now and its crazy how far we've come. From Highschool and not believing we could make it to when we got this house. And now." He let go of my hands and got on one knee. I started to cry even more and my hand went over my mouth. "(Y/N) I love you so much words cannot even come close to explaining how much I love you. I want to have kids with you. I want to marry you. I want to travel the world with you. I want to grow old with you. I want to die with you. I just want to be with you. I know we're still so young but everyday I fear that you'll leave me forever and I can't have that." My eyes have turned into Niagara Falls and my breath is shaky. He pulled out a red box and opened it. Inside was a beautiful beautiful ring. "(Y/F/N), will you do the honors of marrying me?" He said. I nodded my head moved my hand from my mouth.

"Yes, yes, yes, yes! Yes I'll marry you!" I said, he jumped up and slipped the ring on my finger. He pulled me into his arms and kissed me.

"I love you so much (Y/N)."

"I love you too Calum."
