I hate to admit that crime stories are my favourite ones but honestly, they just bring the most thrill. I don't care about the catwalks or band interviews, I want real life. My editor is already a little freaked out by that but hey, who cares.

The most recent murderer happened in a grocery store, one of the cashiers body was found dead in the candy aisle. Police officers don't let us reporters come close but it's obvious that something isn't quite right. ,,Excuse me, sir. What's so special about this murderer?" ,,It was quite the brutal incident, no more details." I take a look at the scene, trying to figure out what exactly happened here. If it wasn't human.. No, I can't think about that. Apparently not many humans know about other creatures. I walk back to the other reporters when I spot a tall figure leaning against a tree in the shadows.

The guy seems familiar as I step closer. ,,Mr. St John." He offers me his hand. ,,I wanted to stop by your place after work.. I wasn't prepared to see you here, I-" ,,Beth!" I turn around for a second to look at my coworker, Eric, who mentions for me to come over. ,,One second!" As I turn back around, Mick is gone. ,,What the.." I walk back to the group of people. ,,We have to get back to our office, Beth. The story doesn't write itself." I nod. ,,Yeah, sure.."

It has been hours since I was back at my desk, the story nearly done. ,,Hey Beth, I am leaving! Don't stay here for too long anymore!" ,,Alright, get back home safe!" I liked my job. Sure, some people were rude but each day was different. I liked the aspect of talking to people, doing my research and I had no problem with staying longer to finish something I was really passionate about. The sky turned dark outside and I grabbed my phone to look at the clock. 9:12 pm. I also saw two unread messages.

Hey, it's Lyra! Just in case you ever get to know the Winchester dudes- the ones that are over right now- do me a favor and don't mention my lack of genetic humanity, I'm going to tell them myself if I feel like it. Don't trust them as much as I do you. How's thanking Mr. St. John going? ;)

Hey, busy much? ;) If it's cool, would you mind telling your Mr. Vampire about Sam and Dean? They wanna get rid of the bad vampires around here, but just in case they confuse monster and civilized vampire, it would be nice to know the normal ones pay some attention for the next days, yeah? xoxo

I smiled. She was so goddamn sweet. And a damn tease. Hey Lyra, I have not been at Mick's place yet! I'll finish here soon and stop by at his place then. I saw him earlier but it was.. weird. Anyway, I'll talk to him about it! xoxo

I saved the final draft of my work, grabbed my coat and went outside. It was raining. Not just a little mist, but goddamn heavy rainfall. ,,Awesome." I more or less sprinted towards Mick's apartment, determined to thank the man who saved my life but stood still as soon as I reached his door. What was I gonna say? Hey, thank you for saving me from a vampire that has gone rogue? I raised my hand to knock, but then let it down again. Oh screw it. I knocked, three times. My hand is still in the air when the door opens and my breath hitches. Let's be honest here, the first time I saw him was in the middle of the night with no lights close and this afternoon I was just surprised by his presence. This was the first time that I really got the chance to look at him.

,,Hi.", I breathed out and he smiled at me. ,,Hello, Beth." ,,I am sorry that I show up here so late but, uhm, I wanted to thank you." He raised his eyebrows. ,,You know, for saving me yesterday night." ,,Do you maybe want to come inside? You must be freezing, being all wet." ,,Huh?" ,,The rain." ,,Oh. Yeah." I stepped inside. ,,Thank you." ,,This might be a little.. unusual but can I offer you something to drink? Something warm?" ,,I'd love to." ,,Coffee, tea?" ,,Tea, please." He pointed to a box in the kitchen. ,,Choose one you like. There aren't too many possibilities since, you know.." I smiled as I walk over. ,,I know."
