Roman POV

Great Zeus, I hope he'll be okay.

I was piling in wood for the fire, to keep the cabin warm. After making sure the fires still going, I look back at the unconscious man on the couch.

I don't get it. What in the world caused this?

*Hours earlier*

We made it to our destination, and Virgil stood there in awe. I knew he would enjoy it. And maybe, just maybe, I could finally ask him the big question.

"Roman," Virgil turned his head to me, wearing that smile I oh so love. "this is so per-" he stopped mid sentence, frozen.

"Virgil?" I snapped my fingers in front of him, no response. "Virgil, say something. Are you okay?"

At this point, I was starting to freak out. Did I break him? Why isn't he talking to me?

I guess I did break him because not even a second later, Virgil was taking deep breathes but was gasping. Like he couldn't breathe.

He fell to his knees, his breathes more hollow and rapid. Virgil then fell on his side, looking worse and worse.

"VIRGIL!" I screamed, kneeling beside him. "Oh God oh God oh God! What do I do!"

Come on! Think think think... I got it!

Quickly I rolled Virgil onto his back, being careful to knock out whatever oxygen he had left. I took a breathe myself, and connect my mouth to his.

No. I wasn't kissing him, though that would've been nice. I was breathing air into his lungs, so he could catch his breathe. It took a few tries, but he gasped, coughing a bit. But was breathing normal again.

Virgil was still out of it, and was shaking real bad. I picked him up, bridal style and rushed him inside the cabin. Likely, it was toasty warm inside. It should've stop Virgil from shaking like a leaf, but didn't.

I sat him on the couch and covered him up with a real fluffy comforter. While he rest, I went back out to get more firewood. Quick and simple, right? Wrong.

After gather a few good chunks of firewood, I started getting back to the cabin. But not before seeing someone or something, lurking behind a tree. It was a dark, like a shadow. It was a shadow.

I recognized that shadow from anywhere.

That fucking bastard!

I dropped the firewood, drawing out my sword.

"Alright, fucker! Show yourself!" I shouted, ready to strike them down.

They didn't move, so I moved towards the figure. I snuck up beside the tree and thrusted my sword at the figure.

I had missed.

What the fuck?!

"Come on now, is that anyway to say hello to a dear friend?" A hissing voice spoke.

I whipped around, swinging my sword. But missed again, damn it.

And before me, stood the bastard himself.

Deceit.

"Last I checked, you have no friends," I said glaring at him.

"I guess we'll cut to the chase then." He said. "You need to drop your lover, and quick."

Lover?..... Virgil? If only we actually did anything.

"If you don't, you'll get hurt in the long run. Or worse, killed."
