Hospital.... Adoption

Kenzie's pov

I turn my camera on and smile. "Hey my gorgeous babies. So about two days ago I had officially moved to Cali and had went shopping, and bought a house with Sky and we have been doing really good. But I went clothes shopping and I thought I would do a little haul video for you guys. But before I get started I want to say I'm not alone."

I look over at Jake and Colby. "I'm joined with. Drum roll please. Colby and Jake. They are going to be judging my outfits and telling me what they think and if I should change something about it." Both boys jump in the cameras view.

"What is up guys." Colby screams and then puts his arm around me. Jake puts his arm around me too.

"Okay so I'm going to try on my first outfit." I smile and stand up walking into my closet. Pulling my first outfit on which was black ripped jeans with a yellow cropped top and some yellow checkered vans. I step out of the closet and do a spin.

"Colby. Colby." Jake hits Colby's arm and points at me.

"What?" Colby asks looking at the outfit.

"She came out of the closet bro. She definitely just came out of the closet." Jake says looking at me smiling. Colby fell off my bed laughing.

"Oh my gosh guys." I put my hand on my face. "This video is going to be so long."

After a long two hours of trying on different outfits and the boys non-stop laughing we finally finished up and they leave to go home. I laid down on my bed and went to upload the footage onto my laptop.

I spend the next twenty minutes editing till I get bored and get up. I leave my room and start to jog downstairs.

"Sky you home?" I call out and wait a couple second before concluding that she is not home. I run back upstairs and grab my phone and sneakers.

I get back downstairs and run to the door, grabbing my keys off the hook before leaving the house. I lock the door and head down towards my car.

As I'm driving my phone starts to ring. I reach into the cup holder and pull my phone out. I glance down and answer it, quickly putting it on speaker then on my lap.

"Hey what's up?" I ask continuing to drive.

"Hello is this Mackenzie?" The women's voice booms form my phone.

"Yes ma'am this is her." I turn into the animal shelter. Parking the car and picking my phone up.

"Good afternoon sweetheart I am Cara Speller I'm calling regarding Jace Cole. He was admit to the Saint Vincents Hospital and you are his emergency contact." She says. I put my head on the steering wheel.

"Okay. I'm so sorry ma'am. I know who he is but him and I have no relationship. Also I am not living in Pennsylvania anymore." I apologize as sweetly as possible.

"Oh okay sweet heart. I am so sorry for calling you then. Have a great evening." She says hanging up before I can say anything else.

I get out of the car and put my phone in my pocket and lanyard holding my keys around my neck. I walk into the animal shelter and smile.

"Hello ma'am can I help you with anything." The lady at the front desk asks, looking up from her computer.

"No I'm just looking right now" I smile walking back into the dog area.

I walk around for about thirty minutes then coming back to a gorgeous one year old laying against the gates. 'The paper says ask about me.'

I walk up to the counter and ask about him. "Excuse me the dogs papers back there says ask." I ask pointing towards the back.

"Oh yes. He is a Saarloos wolfdog. He has a lot of energy and loves people. He came in with no name about five days ago." She smiles reading for the computer. I nod and look back into the area where he is.

"Is it okay if I adopt him?" I smile and look at her.

"Of course sweetie. Let's get you ready to adopt him." She starts to pull out papers. "Go pick out a collar and leash. And whatever else you would like." I nod and walk back to the little area where they have a bunch of stuff.

My phone starts to buzz and I look down to see it's Colby. I smile picking the phone up.

"Hey what's up idiot?" I ask grabbing a black collar and a black leash.

"Hey we are having like a movie night. Sky's already over here if you want to come join." He asks sweetly. "I can come get you if you don't wanna drive."

"I'm actually at the animal shelter right now. I am adopting a dog." I grab a couple Kong toys, water and food dish, along with a green blanket.

"Oh man. Want me to come down?" I can hear movement on the other side of the phone.

"I mean if you want. I'm going to take him back home as soon as I fill out the papers." I said walking back to the front counter. "You can meet me at the house if you want. Then we can ride over to the Trap house." I smile at the lady, as she places papers in front of me.

"Okay sounds good. See you in a little bit." Colby says ending the call.

"Let's get this boy adopted." The lady smiles.
