Before I start I just wanna say that this has a major spoiler alert in it and so will basically every chapter after this one unless it's like a part two or I say otherwise. Probably not but you never know. Also this won't be edited so I'm sorry for all the bad grammar but I just wanted this to be out asap, so it doesn't end up like the endgame rant. Here we go:

Ok ok let's start with the Mileven break-up. I WAS FUMING AT THIS. FUCKING HOPPER!!! I kinda wanted Mike to be like "yo el I can't come over but like meet me at so and so place and I'll explain everything" or some shit like that. Because honestly through and through I feel like we were getting so tricked. We got like 3 actual Mileven kisses and we should have more. But we got Mike being a protective boyfriend/ex-boyfriend instead. Which I mean...ok? Like we all kinda knew he would be like that. If you say "um no I think that was surprising for everyone" then I can give you all the links to tons of one shots and fanfics where Mike is that boyfriend.

Next thing: Erica. I loved her in the second season but this season she was ok. She was over-played and over-stayed. I have nothing against her but she didn't bring as many laughs as she was supposed to and I feel like she was really one-sided. It would have been a wiser choice just to leave her like she was in season 2, a quick comic-relief and a background character. Nothing against the actress or anything but she was almost flat, like she had one side and one tone but I think that she was written like that. Idk just my opinion. It's not like she was my least favorite or most favorite she was just kind of there.

Now let's stop with the negative. KAREN FUCKING WHEELER. MY QUEEN. YESSSSSSS!!!!1!!!!1!!! I *and i can not stress this enough* LOVE her in this season. Literally she did a front flip in this season. She went from wanting to hook-up with a 18-year old to giving a pep-talk to Nancy, that hits so freaking hard, to going to the fair with her husband and her daughter to giving Mike that hug at the end that makes me feel comfortable. Like literally. No complaints, no hate, no shade, no tea, just love and appreciation and amazingness. She was another kind of just there character but now she came to shine.

I could go on for hours about how amazing Robin was. Like I was low-key shipping her and Steve but then she said Gay-rights and I grabbed my pride flag. I'm really glad that the duffers did that because it's the first confirmed representation in the LGBTQ+ community. Like bITCH YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I stan one (1) gay icon. I also love that it wasn't just a predictable "oh they should get together because the viewers would find it cute and it's easy" but was a "oh yeah they'll get together- SIKE U THOT" moment that I live for. Also let's talk about Steve's reaction??? Bc????? We stan??? Being gay wasn't as accepted in the 80's as it is today so it was pretty cool just seeing him be like "ok cool" instead of freaking out. Even today people's reaction isn't always like that, I have a friend that was asked out and then she was like "nah I'm gay" and the guy started telling her that it didn't matter to him. So like we stan one (1) ally king. Along with that it really shows his character development because I bet if something similar had happened to Steve circa season 1 he wouldn't have as good of a reaction as he did in this season. So yeah there's my Robin rant.

I don't have really anything to say about Lumax. I found it cute and humorous with the whole Lucas being incredibly dumb when it came to girls. There are quite a few serious relationships in season 3 so it was kind of needed to have that couple that really couldn't fully be taken seriously. Lumax was handled perfectly thank you very much.

One thing that I'm glad didn't really change between season 2 and season 3 is the dynamic between Mike and Max. I've read quite a few one shots and have written a couple where the two become friends once El becomes friends with Max and have written a couple chapters like that too,  but the duffers decided to have that not-really-friends relationship and I just found it more realistic then having them be buddy-buddy after El comes back.
(I don't feel like this paragraph makes much sense so if it doesn't then just ignore it)
