CHAPTER 12- THE BBQ-PART 1
FLORA'S P.O.V
As we were walking back to the car after our wonderful dinner, I felt Noah's hand in mine, making me stop walking. I turned around curious as to why he stopped me in the middle of the car park.
Do you want to come to our family BBQ tomorrow? Your mum is invited as well. He looked at me nervously and continued before I could even reply.
I know we just had a date and it might be coming too much but my mum won't stop nagging me about meeting you.
I felt my self slowly start to grin.
Of course I will. I replied and he let out a relieved sigh, smiled then grabbed my hand leading me to the car.
~~~~The next day~~~~
My mum and her excitement the next morning had waked me. "Come on honey! Rise and shine!" She stuck her head through my door shouting. My mum agreed the second I had asked her about the BBQ last night.
2 hours later, at around 11 am we were getting out of the house to Noah's. He had given me his address last night. It was a little difficult to find buy my mum finally found the house in about 15 minutes. It was a cute two-storey house with a garden in the front. We parked outside at the curb and realized that there were a few other cars as well.
My mum and me got out of the car, a box of chocolate in my hand and walked up to the door. My mum knocked and a few seconds later a young male opened the door, probably in his 20's.
"Hello, how can I help you?" He asked.
"We were invited to the BBQ. This is flora and I'm Beth." My mum replied pointing to me and then to her self. A look of recognition crossed his eyes.
"So, you're Flora!" He said and I nodded. "Come in! Come in." He ushered us inside. "I'm Greg, by the way." He said from behind us.
I looked up and saw Noah heading towards us from down the hall.
Hello. He signed.
Hi. I replied. Greg went past us in to the kitchen shouting," Mum! Flora and her mum is here!"
A lady in her mid forties came bounding towards us. She first hugged me and then hugged my mum while introducing her self. "Hi! I'm Claire! And you must be Flora and her mum Beth!"
"Yes, it is so nice to meet you and very thoughtful of you to invite us to the BBQ." My mum said.
"No problem at all, you're always welcome here." Clair replied while giving me a wink and then to Noah which made both of us blush and the mothers laugh.
It's going to be a very long day I thought as I walked into the backyard with Noah's hand in mine.
