Not Again

For the millionth time, I wake up in a chair. I look around to see Elijah and Austin still knocked out.

"No! Not again! Ugh, I hate everyone!" I yell.

Of course, I don't completely mean that. I don't hate Elijah, Austin, or my mom. I can feel tears stream down my face. My cries grow louder and louder.

"Skylar? Are you ok?" I hear a faint, yet familiar voice in the room.

I look up and see Elijah looking up at me from his chair.

"I know how you feel about being trapped, but I'm right here," Elijah gives me a fake smile.

"Who likes being trapped?" I say looking down.

Elijah looks at me and looks at the ropes strapping him down to the seat beneath him.

I look at Elijah at Austin. Austin is still out cold.

"Austin!" I yell.

He doesn't answer or flinch in the slightest. I can feel the anxiety start to build in me as I stare at my brother laying still.

"Austin! wake up!" I yell.

I look around and see a mint on the table across the room from me. I look at the mint and back at Austin. I look at Elijah in panic.

"Elijah, I think they put him to sleep," I state as I turn to him.

He looks at me and raises his eyebrows.

The imposter walks in, slamming the door open.

"You put him to sleep!" I yell.

"Oh, so you noticed. Maybe you're not as dumb as I thought you were," he says, putting on gloves.

"Why didn't you put us to sleep?" Elijah asks.

"Elijah!" I yell.

He looks at me, confused.

"I would, but why do something so pointless?" he explains, "Why do that when I could go around pretending to be the president and tell the kids what to do? I have ultimate power."

"You're forgetting one thing," I remark. "What will happen when you run into the real president?" I smirk.

"You think I haven't thought of that?" he replies.

He walks to the mint and plops it into his mouth.

"Why did you have to put my brother to sleep?" I groan.

"Because it's his fault I had to go through all this trouble in the first place. It's his karma," he answers approaching me.

"You know the best thing about karma?" I ask. "You will never see it coming."

He laughs at my comment.

"Yeah, I wonder why that is." he starts. "I have a feeling your karma is coming."

"It sure is," I say, smiling.

He walks toward the door, and just before he touches the handle, the door flies open, causing him to fall back onto his butt.

I look at who is walking through the door when I see Mr. London. He locks eyes with me, and I look at Austin, causing him to worry.

The imposter reaches out for Mr. London's foot, and he walks back to stop from being tripped. Mr. London walks around the imposter to see himself towering over him. It looks like a bulldog fighting a Chihuahua.
