"Fine, how you dey na?" I questioned my big sister over the phone as she scolded me for not keeping in-touch.

"Good thanks for asking Ima Ima." She smiled at me through the camera "I miss you! When are you coming home it's been a year. " She whined.

"I know Zahrah but I think I found the place  that I wanna get comfortable." I told her as I made my omelette.

"Oh really? Ya think ya found the place na." She asked sarcastically and rolled her eyes.

"Oh shut up. I'm serious this time." I stressed. My family always wanted to point out how indecisive I was and how I could never stick to any thing but they would never understand that I'm just doing what I want for once.

"You said that about New York, Ima."

"I know what I said about New York but I just had to get away from there. I didn't like it anymore." I said avoiding that conversation. There were certain things I just wasn't ready to share or confess about my memories in New York, especially not to my family. "But anyway I'll be home to visit soon. Just give me some time to get comfortable with my space here in LA." I said looking at the view outside the penthouse glass walls.

"K-leg." She said calling me a liar  and rolling her eyes. "I see you when ever Kamaria." She said and blew a kiss as I blew one back and we hung up the phone.

"Damn." I sighed rolling my eyes, knowing if my sister was pressing me it was only a matter of time before my mother would be calling.

I ate my omelette then got out my fruits and ice to make my smoothie before my morning run and manifestations.
  Treat me right LA..

August

I waved goodbye to the girls as they drove away from my home. I sighed and leaned against the door frame, waving at my neighbor across the street.

A deep whine threw me out of my trance and I looked over at my dog, Ace. He kept whining and I figured he wanted to go out. So I grabbed his leash, my keys, poop bags and my phone before heading out with him for a morning walk.

"Let's go Ace." I chanted as I started to jog with him to exercise his muscles.

He barked and flipped around in the grass until he started to sniff around letting me know he was getting ready to mark territory.

He peed in a few spots then finally pooped. I got the poop bag out of my pocket and picked it up when he was done.  Throwing it away in a near by trash can, I was startled to hear a squeal. Looking over I saw Ace jumping on the nice Doctor from the other day.

"Ace! Get here now!" I demanded.

"You should control your dog a bit more." She said standing from the ground and dusting herself off a bit out of breath and sweat dripped down her chest.

Catching my self I stopped staring at her and gave her a bright smile. "I'm sorry about that. He won't bite." I said bending down to pick up her air pod. "Doctor....Ayanda right?" I asked trying to remember her name.

"Yeah." She nodded looking around. "My first name is Kamaria." She said holding her hand out for a shake.

"August." I smiled and accepted her offer. "You live around here?"

She nodded again. "Just taking my usual morning run. You?" She asked.

"Yeah, Ace here wanted to go out for a while so I figured I'd take him for a walk this morning."

"He's a very handsome dog." She smiled, petting him.  "I really have to get going though. I'm timing myself." She said pointing to her wrist watch.

"Oh I'm sorry. Go right ahead baybeh. It was good seeing ya." I apologized and stepped out of her way.

"You too." She responded and started back on her jogging.

I watched her ass as she disappeared in the distance. She had the most perfect female body a man could ask for.

"We'll See her again Ace." I smirked.

Kamaria

Sitting in Starbucks I thought about the guy I had just passed by about thirty minutes ago. He was very handsome and I feel like it's such a coincidence that this is my second time seeing him in such a small matter of time. But then again I did just move here to Lesley Oaks.

It was a really nice neighborhood and all the neighbors were nice. The air was fresh and I really liked it here in the U.S. I'd only been here a couple of years but here and Nigeria were much different places.

I'd really just been traveling around the U.S. Trying new things. I had already been to New York,  Nevada, Washington and Montana.  Now it's time to see what Cali has in store.

Leaving my family and moving out of the country at twenty was a big jump but I'm twenty four and it's time for me to really start living and bringing my life together.

Which means finding a man and building something . I'm sitting here a twenty four year old virgin with no nearby friends. So maybe this August guy could help me with a few things.

Hmm..Thank you spirit guides...
