What Takes to be a Hero

▶Deku's POV◀

Ever since I could remember me and (Y/N) we have always been treated with pity. My mom always cried on our shoulder saying it's going to be okay. Kacchan picks on me and (Y/N) would always save me. I want to save her. I want to be her hero for once. So I have to know. 

“Can I become a hero even if I don’t have a Quirk? Me and the girl you saved with (H/C) don’t have any powers. Can we ever hope to be someone like you?” I asked with hope.

"Without a Quirk...

"It might've been because I don't have a Quirk, but me and my friend were always made fun of... She would always save me whenever our classmates would make fun of us, I just want to be her hero for once. Maybe that's why... I don't know... But I think saving people is super cool. Saving people with a fearless smile. I want to be the greatest hero, like you!” I said before looking and  noticing smoke clearing where All Might used to be and was replaced by a skinny man. My mind went blank before I started panicking. 

"AHHHHHHHHHH"

Your POV

"That scream... It's Izuku , looks like he found out. Man it's all the way over there". I said lazily.

On the way I saw Bakugou and his friends in an alleyway. I decided to eavesdrop on them, because why not.

"Hey Katsuki, aren't you, Midoriya, and (L/N) childhood friends?" One of his friends asked.

‘Ya went a little overboard today. But, that chick was scary yet she was hot, totally my type.” The other one continued with a smirk. I shuddered at him. 

"It's that bitch fault for getting in my way!" Bakugou yelled while he kicked a bottle.

‘Wait that bottle looks familiar but, from where?" I thought. It took me a while until I realized that it was the same bottle that had the Slime Villian in. 

'Well shit'

Deku's POV

"Y-Y-You're defaulting...! Wait, up until now... Huh? Fake? A fake?! You're so skinny!" I was so confused and scared at the time. 

"I am All M-.. He tried to explain before blood came out of his mouth.

"AHHHHHHHH"

"No way!"

"You know how the guys at the pool are constantly flexing and posturing? It's like that". The fake All Might explained.

"All Might is fearless... He saves everyone with a smile... He's the greatest..." I said, still not believing that the man in front of me is All Might. 

“There’s a lot of fear behind that smile. I’m counting on you to keep your mouth shut. Don’t go talking about this online or telling your friend.” ‘All Might’ said before sitting down and lifting up his shirt. Under it showed a horrible scar.

"It's an injury I got from an enemy's attack five years ago. Half of my respiratory organs were destroyed, and I lost my whole stomach. I've weakened from the repeated surgeries and the aftereffects. Right now, I can only work as a hero about three hours a day. Rest of the time this is what I look like.” He explained

"No way… Five years ago? So does that mean it was the fight with Toxic Chainsaw?” I asked. 

"You know you stuff kid. But a punk like that couldn't defeat me. This fight was not made public to the world. I asked that it not be made public. I will save people with a smile! The Symbol of Peace cannot be defeated by evil. I smile to show the pressure of heros and to trick the fear inside of me.” ‘All Might’ said looking down.
