I recline against the mound of pillows on Draco's bed, watching him run back and forth across the room, muttering to himself and jotting stuff down on a piece of parchment in his hands.
"Calm down," I call out to him. "We aren't leaving for another week." That's what we'd decided anyway. We were done with Hogwarts and the whole wizarding world. In a week, we'd be gone. We were opening that shop and moving into the house Draco's family owned. We haven't told anybody about our plans yet.
Draco stops by the bed. His blond hair is uncharacteristically messy. His gray eyes are bloodshot from lack of sleep. Even like this, he's beautiful.
He leans down and kisses me softly, "I'm sorry darling. I just want everything to be perfect."
"And it will be," I assure him. "But for now, you need to get some sleep." I reach up and pull him on top of me, ignoring the pain as he lands hard across my chest.
"You shouldn't do that." He scolds, crawling into a better position next to me. "You could reopen your cuts."
"You worry too much." I press my lips against him, savoring the familiar rush of joy it gives me.
"You don't worry enough." He returns the kiss. I brush my tongue against his lips. "Harry" he groans. "We shouldn't- you could get hurt."
"I'm not some fragile flower" I growl. "I'm not going to break. I need you."
"But-"
I give him a coy smile. "No protesting. This is for your benefit as much as it's for mine. You need to stop stressing so much." I roll onto my side, trying not to wince visibly. My fingers trail down Draco's cheek and he leans into my touch. As my hands wander down his sides, there is a loud tapping noise.
I turn to look at the owl at the window. It taps again on the glass and Draco rolls away from me. He runs over and lets the owl in.
"We got the shop!" He cheers, running over to me. "It's officially ours."
I glare at him.
"Aw don't be mad Harry. We'll have all the time in the world to do that when we've moved into the new house." His smile is infectious and I can't help but smile with him.
"I forgive you. As long as you come to bed. You have to sleep at some point." I reach out and grab his hand.
He nods and crawls into bed next to me. He whispers a spell to turn the lights off and pulls me against him. We drift off to sleep, happy and together. I'm glad I didn't die.

"You're leaving?" Hermione's voice is quiet and sad. Her, Luna, Ginny, Ron, Draco, and I are gathered on couches in the eighth year dormitory. Draco and I've just told them that we're leaving in a week."It's better this way," I tell her. "This world has hurt us both. We want a different life."
"But what about school? You have to finish!" Her voice is shrill.
"Mione" Draco says. "We're going to live like muggles. We don't need a wizards education anymore."
"And you're just going to leave us?" She looks close to tears. Ron puts his arm around her, still shocked.
Ginny rubs at her eyes. "This will be good for you guys. I'm happy for you."
"They're leaving us, Ginny!" Hermione bursts into tears. "They said they're done with this world, that they're cutting it out."
"Mione we'll still talk to you guys," I say. "We can't cut you out of our lives. We'll visit all the time. And we'll probably still send our kids here if we have any of course." I blush, glancing over at Draco. He gives me a tiny smile.
Hermione relaxes. "You could have told me that before I freaked out" She laughs self deprecatingly. Smiles already appear on my friends' cloudy faces.
"So you're leaving by the end of the week?" Luna asks. "How long have you been planning this?"
"Awhile" Draco shrugs. "My family already owned a house in the town we're moving too and all we had to do was buy the shop. We'll get supplies when we get there."
"Are you going to do everything the muggle way?" Ron wrinkles his nose in distaste of the idea of living without magic.
"Not completely. We'll use magic to help with growing the flowers and around the house." I look up at the clock. "Draco we have to go meet with Professor McGonagall to tell her we're leaving the school."
He groans softly. "Do we have to? I don't think she particularly likes me."
"C'mon" I get up and grab his arm. "Let's go."
He groans again but gets up. "See ya." he waves behind him as we walk out of the common room.
----------------------------------
I knock on McGonagall's office door. Draco fidgets nervously beside me."Don't worry" I whisper as she opens the door. "It's going to be fine."
"Mr. Malfoy, Mr. Potter?" McGonagall says as she opens the door. "I was actually just going to call you to my office. What's the matter, boys?" She opens the door wider to let us in. We walk in and sit down at the chairs in front of her desk.
"We've decided to leave Hogwarts," I say bluntly. "The wizarding world has brought us nothing but trauma and we're done."
She looks stunned for a moment before sitting back down. "I see."
"We will be leaving by the end of the week," Draco adds.
She's silent before saying. "I think you are making a mistake." She turns to me. "Harry, don't leave. There are people here that can help you. I don't think you should go with Mr. Malfoy after what just happened."
I stiffen and feel Draco tense beside me. Is she... blaming Draco for my attempted suicide? "I don't understand Professor?"
"I think that Mr. Malfoy is bad for you, Harry. Do not leave Hogwarts for him."
"Are you- blaming him?" My voice rises in volume and tone. "I would have been dead long ago if not for Draco!"
"Mr. Potter I'm just concerned for your mental health."
"My mental health is loads better because of Draco. He saved my life!" I look over at him. His jaw is tight and his eyes are steely. I reach out and take his hand. "No one else noticed that I wasn't okay. Draco has helped more than any one else. I'm sorry Professor, but I'm leaving Hogwarts and the rest of this... mess behind."
I get up, pulling Draco with me and storm out of her office.
Outside, Draco grabs my wrist. "Harry-"
"Can you believe her?" I shout angrily. "Blaming you for my suicide attempt."
"Harry-" he says again.
I look over at him. His gray eyes are cloudy with unshed tears. "What?" I snap.
"Maybe she's right." His tone is uncertain.
"Are you fucking kidding me?!" I cry. "Do not let her get to you Draco Malfoy!"
"But she has a point. All of you mental stuff happened when I started dating you, maybe you'd be better off if I just-"
"No!" I grab his hands and force him to look at me. "Draco Malfoy, if not for you I would have been dead a long time ago. You are not breaking up with me because some bitch who doesn't know what she's talking about said you were bad for me. I love you and I won't let you do that." I choke on the last words as tears begin to fall from my eyes
His face shines with tears as well. "Harry I love you too."
"Good" I yank his hands so that he lurches towards me and crash my lips against his. He wraps his arms around me and kisses me hungrily. We stand in front of McGonagall's office, kissing as if our lives depend on it.
"Draco" I murmur. "I want to leave tomorrow."
"Mmkay" He agrees readily, dipping his head down to kiss my neck.
"We should probably do this in our room." I close my eyes and lean closer against him. "I love you."
"You too"
