The rest of the exam week went by smoothly. Without realizing it, another week after the exam went by. We had our usual lessons but now preparing for our monthly sports festival.
Since this is Land of Dawn we're talking about, the main sport is that we're going to fight 5 on 5 disregarding our class, year and status. Yes, the teacher can join in. This sports event is to give ourselves a plus point and will be accounted for later when we work.
But for now, my grades.
Students gathered at the big billboard on the 1st floor just straight from the entrance. It's very crowded, which I don't like very much, but for the sake of making sure my grades NOT going down, I had to squeeze in and stand at the very front. I look out for my class, then my name, accidentally reading Claude's name in the 5th row from his class (D) that I smirked inwardly.
I keep going up with heart-pounding loudly, as a little boy- Harley, passed by in front of me, also cleaving through to find his name at the overall statistics. I can see irritation coating his face as he tries to shove Balmond he can't seem to pass by, resorting to teleporting in front of the buff guy. I'm surprised to see him here though. Orcs aren't the brightest being after all.
Proceed to find my name, got it! Ranked 2nd from my class (C), with scores only 2 points away from the 1st. Kagura.
Figures. She's been 2nd for all this time we had exams.
Then I followed Harley to my left, looking out for the overall statistics, meeting Harith that argued with Harley as they tried to get out from the crowd, which by the way pretty civil unlike how it usually is at the cafeteria. I traced my fingers, my eyes following fit and hovered up from the 10th place.
Lunox. Rafaela. Nana, wow. I have to congratulate her later. Hayabusa. Lesley. Harith. Harley (So that why they're arguing). Me.
3rd place? I traced up to look who's 1st, but the 2nd is shocking enough that I can't keep going.
Alucard?! WHAT?!
I immediately checked our scores, wanting to know how much the gap. Finding it only one point.
Just then I got pulled from behind, out from the crowd, having trouble knowing who it is that forcefully dragged me out from the billboards to a park just outside before the entrance. It's none other than the miracle guy himself.
"Miya! Can you believe it?! I scored 1st in my class!" He exclaimed triumphantly. I swear one of my veins popped one. Not because he's above me, but my hand hurts. Okay, maybe a little bit because he beat me.
"Actually since I just saw it myself, yes, although I don't want to admit." I tried to put on my smile. But it crooked from irritation surfacing to my face.
"I can't believe it! Look at my grades! Only civic education is not 100!" He rambled on, I rolled my eyes inwardly trying to not pop another vein, stroking my hand that turns reddish. "You are a miracle-worker!"
My heart stopped, eyes bulging as I felt his warm body engulfed me. It's too sudden that I can't nag even after he pulled back his body. My anger subsided in that flash moment and I observed his face confusedly. What was he thinking? Now my heart pounded even faster than when I checked my scores!
He fixed my glasses that tilted to the side from his beary hug. "I'm going to treat you some meal after school, ok? I'll text you later!" He waved his hand, going away and back to his fellas in the hallway a bit far from where I stand.
"Gosh! he comes and goes as he pleases!" I let out a peeved shout, "I can't even complain to him about my grade!" flailing the air with my face now reddening. "Why must he do that?"
