Hello Beautiful people. How is your week going so far?
Waking up from my dream of the past, I jolted up from the couch and looked around frantically to see where I am. Finally relaxing when I see that it's just the captain's cabin and not the cell. Taking deep shaky breaths to calm me down. Jolting once again when Haze barges in with a loud thud from the door. He was panting, his eyes landed on me searching if something was wrong but I could tell he was uncomfortable to look at me in this state and that made a throb in my heart and my stomach knotted. Smirking I got up and walked towards him and asked "What's wrong? Are we under attack?" He blinked a couple of times and answered in an unsure voice "No?" In return, I just glared at him and went to sit on my desk.
Picking up one of the old journals that were placed in front of me. Opening it I read the last riddle 'I quake the earth that rumbles. I lock the sun that shines. I storm the stormy seas. I bleed hot red blood that melts. I shout with anger from fiery above'. Thinking about it for a few minutes I found the answer.
Opening a second journal it said mount. Koro. I quickly got up and went to look for the map. Finally finding it behind the wooden shelves, unfolding it. I looked for Mount. Koro and as I guessed it was a volcanic island that was located in the southern sea. But what worried me the most was the legend of the guardian island. Hearing a cough I turned around to find Haze looking at me with raised eyebrows. I asked "What?" in annoyance. He looked taken back by my tone but he said "Nothing" while shrugging and left the room. I looked at his back in confusion and thought What's up with him? Sighing I went and sat on the chair and placed my head on the desk.
Rising my head, I yelled "Haze!" "Haze!". A few seconds later Haze entered the cabin once again and asked "Yeah Captain?" at that I knew something was wrong by just looking at him I understood. "Change our directions to head South and see if we can raid any fancy ships will ya." I told him with an evil smirk on my face. He had a cheeky smile on his lips and his eyes twinkled like the starry night. Saluting he said "Aye Aye Captain." Just as he was about to close the door I said "Sorry." in a quiet voice. He halted and looked at me in the eye with a small smile which meant 'It's fine'.
Relaxing I opened one of the books that talked about legendary creatures and began to read it. While halfway through I placed it next to the couch on the floor. Looking up at the wooden ceiling. I could feel the footsteps of people running and scurrying around. At that; I smiled. This crew has been with me for years now. They all had dreams and goals before joining, most of them wanted to see the world and learn more about this legendary sea. As I recalled memories of the past with the crew and Haze, my smile grew wider. Closing my eyes. Wait. Oh right, I don't have any eyelids. Letting a puff of air, for the second time, I picked up the cloth and placed it on my eyes.
Hope you enjoyed this chapter. Please keep in mind they have been edited but by me personally and my grammar isn't the best in the world. I will heir an editor later once the chapters have been all published.
Did anyone know the answer of the riddle before Rowan?
Does anyone know what's wrong with Haze and why he acted so weirdly?
