Today has been a not so productive day, I only painted so little, read 'Les femmes savantes' by Moliere, and listened to some songs

. Now I'm in the living room, re watching 'friends' with my mother and scrolling through Tumblr, oh all the fanfictions I read on wattpad and imagines on Tumblr, regarding the harry potter universe, it's just shocking to actually live it, it's exciting, and scary and-

"Darling, you've been awfully quiet since the morning, and you haven't had breakfast yet, is it because of the letter, dear I'm sorry about your father's actions." She sighed "I really thought he changed." She said sadly then patted my back.

"Well," I contemplated telling her, what if she tells father? How would she react to such news? "Mother.. it is regarding the letter, or might  I say now letters." I took a deep breath. "Mother, I have reason to believe that I am.. A witch" I said, waiting for her reaction.

Her face turned white, then she gave me a soft smile, "Dear, you know I encourage you reading fantasy and all, but don't you think that little imagination of yours has been a little outstretched. But anyway," she chuckled, "What reason makes you believe you're a witch?" She asked somewhat sincerely.

I started fidgeting, then I ran upstairs to my bedroom to get the letters, as I came back with not one, but three, she stared at them.

"Didn't you say you only received one, yesterday. And your father burnt it?" confusion was written all over her face.

I then took out the CD of Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone, put it in the CD player, and played it instead of Friends. I skipped it until the part where uncle Vernon, tells Harry he burnt the letter, and the next day Harry receives even more letters. My mother stared at me, while I got the CD out and we went back to watching Friends.

"You see mother, those letters, they just came in today through my window," I said trying to make it as clear as possible. She stared blankly, she started stressing.

"Ella dear, may we get rid of those letters?" she said her eyes were glassy like she just got the worst news of her life. I stared shocked at her, not again, that's what I feared.

"NOO!!" I said while I tried getting away from her, that's what I feared, for her to have the same reaction as father, "Mother, not you too." I stood at my place frozen, I can't escape my mother, she snatched the letters out of my hands, I fell to my feet as she threw the letters in the fire, just like my father did, she then crouched and hugged me as I cried. But what shocked me was that she was crying too, her tears fell next to mine.

"M-mother, w-what's wrong?" After I asked her the question, she adjusted to face me, we were both crying on the floor of the living room, if any of the maids came, we were going to be laughing stalks to them, but at that moment we didn't care.

"I have a story for you darling Ella. You see, your father's mother was a witch, her husband was a muggle, and he was, sorry is, a squib, you see, he grew a hatred towards wizards and witches, because your grandmother's family along with her and your grandfather were murdered in cold blood when your father was only 10,he was scared, hiding in his room.

Of course, he wouldn't tell you, hell he wouldn't even bring it up." She said calmly. "And, that is why he isn't very nice, and distant, he loves us, he does really, he just had a rough childhood, and I'm sure you know from the Harry Potter books that death eaters aren't that nice." She was hugging me so tight right now, that I felt that she was trying to reassure herself that he loves us, more than to reassure me.

"B-but mother, the bad wizards are gone now, the good ones have defeated them, w-we read that and we saw that I can attend Hogwarts, you do know what happens if I suppress my powers," I told her cautiously and she nodded.

"I know dear, I know." she played with my hair soothing me and herself. "And... that's why, umm when the professor from Hogwarts, comes to accompany you, I will tell them to come back a day before the 1st day of school, so you can go buy your supplies, then go to school the next day. This way your father won't be able to stop you from going." My mom said I can sense she was afraid, of what my father might do to her after that plan.

"No." I said taking a deep breath, "No mother, I won't leave you to face the consequences of that plan. I'm staying" I said confidently. Even though I don't feel confident at all, I really want to go, but no.

"Dear Ella. Ella, Ella, Ella, I know you better than yourself, and I know that you want to attend Hogwarts, and you will go. But we will keep it our little secret." She whispered the last part in my ear and then kissed my cheek.

"I love you mother," I said and hugged her.

"I love you too, Ella" she hugged me back tighter as if I were the only thing keeping her alive, and that thought scares me because I know that my mother isn't in the best mental state right now.

**

From that day on, every knock on the door sent my mother into panic mode. At least my father was going on a business trip for the next month so my mother can relax a bit. I still got letters, but I kept burning them.

The week after my father left, a knock came, like every other one, but upon opening the door, the maid said there was a very short man going by the name, Professor Flitwick at the door.

My mother went to speak with him, explaining to him our sticky situation, he nodded which I took as complete understanding.

My mother closed the door and came towards me "He understands our situation, and accepted to go through with the plan."

At those words, my face beamed, I had the hugest grin on my face, and upon seeing my grin my mother smiled and engulfed me in a hug.

**

School was done, which also means summer. My mother and I go to France every summer to meet my mother's side of the family, my father skips going with us, because he always has business to attend, as much as I fear my father, I love him. And I'm going to miss him.

After living with my grandparents and meeting my uncles and aunts, we went back to London. It was a week before Professor Flitwick's arrival and my departure.

**

Professor Flitwick entered our home, my father was on a trip, again. I hugged my mother and kissed her on the cheek "Please take care of yourself, mother. I'm going to miss you, and I'm coming home on Christmas, tell father, that I love him when he comes home please.", I hugged her tighter. "And I love you."

I then left with Professor Flitwick, hoping to get to see my mother again on Christmas.

**

We went to Diagon Alley first, on our way Professor Flitwick introduced himself, and I did the same I told him that I'm an awfully huge Potterhead, he laughed at my fangirling. I asked him if the Harry Potter books were based on real life, and he nodded, then we entered Gringotts.

"How do I have my own vault? Were my grandparents rich?" I asked Professor Flitwick.

"Your grandmother was Adelaide Woodfrey, born Meadows. Right?" I nodded at his question.

"You knew her?" I asked him, and he nodded.

"Ahh yes, Adelaide was amazing in school, such a tragedy what happened to her. You know she was a healer, one of the best really, she was also one of the brightest witches of her year." he said with a hint of reminiscence, "And to answer your question, yes she had a lot of money. And you will inherit them since there is no other heir."

We entered the vault and got the money needed to buy the supplies. Then we bought the supplies, he then got me a room in the leaky cauldron, and gave me my ticket and told me that Hagrid would come the next day to accompany me to Kings Cross.

"Miss Woodfrey, take care, don't get out of your room until Hagrid comes tomorrow, and lastly don't speak to strangers." He warned. "Okay, then Miss Woodfrey, enjoy your stay, I have to go now." He bid his goodbyes and left.

I was left all alone, with my new school supplies, and my phone.
