*8 Years Later*

It was the first day of eighth grade. Grandma Tina had transferred us to Tridalle Middle School because she didn't have enough money to keep us in private school. She figured public school would be much cheaper and she wouldn't have to worry about constantly paying for expensive ass uniforms every year.
Nicky and I walked down the halls of the big school, trying to look for our classes. We were gonna be separated, in different classes, which made us uncomfortable because we were always together. Everyone kept looking at us. They knew we were new to the school.
"What? You ain't never seen twins before?!" Nicky said to some of the onlookers as they rolled their eyes from her comment.
Then, this big girl, who looked like she belonged in college, shoved her way right between me and Nicky to get passed us, along with two other big asses that looked like her little disciples.
"Excuse you!" Nicky yelled at her.
"Yo, shut up! You trying get us beat the fuck up?" I whispered to her. She was bugging. We don't know them girls that look like they could stomp our damn faces in. It's not like private school, where them white girls won't do shit.
The big girls turned around and walked towards us. Oh shit.
"You was talking to me?" The first one who shoved us said.
"Uh, yeah! Don't be brushing pass me without sayin--" Before Nicky could continue, the girl punched her in the face and swung her to the floor and started beating her up.
I had to help my sis out. I kicked that big ass girl in the back and that's when her friends started jumping me and the next thing I knew, I was on the floor being kicked and punched on. I could hear the huge crowd of kids screaming and laughing. I turned my head over to see Nicky lying on the floor, still getting punched by that girl. I could see mounds of blood running from her nose and lip.
Then, I heard the voice of a grown man. "Hey! Everyone go to class now, or all of you get detention! Let's go! Clear the halls!"
Then, security guards pried the hands of the two girls off of me and another swung that other girl off of Nicky.
"Take them to my office right now." The grown man said.
Then I felt someone help me and Nicky up, and he grabbed us by our arms. It was the principal. He walked us to the nurse's office.
"Make sure you send them to my office when you're done." he said.
"Alright, Mr.Banks." the nurse responded as the principal left.
"Wow, fighting on your first day here? And the fact that you girls were fighting Tyanna and her cousins, Jonica and Briana? Shame." she said, shaking her head.
"Briana? That's her name." Nicky said, pointing at me and rubbing her head from it being in pain.
"Well, what a coincidence. Two Briana's that get in fights."
"Her name spelled with one N or two N's?" Nicky asked.
"One." the nurse responded.
"Oh, my sister has two N's in her name." Nicky said, shrugging.
Nicky always trynna make conversation with people, no matter what the situation is.
The nurse gave me an ice pack to put on my lip and put some Neosporin on the scratches on my face.
"Ya'll could call me Ms. D." she said, while cleaning off a scratch on Nicky's face.
"My eye hurts Ms. D." Nicky said.
"Yea, because it's black." she chuckled while getting another ice pack.
I stared at all the medical stuff in the nurse's office. Everything was so interesting to me. All these posters about the human body on the wall. It was all so cool. I wondered if Ms. D had fun being a nurse. I think I would.
"You seem pretty quiet to be a fighter, Brianna." Ms.D said, laughing a little.
"We're not even fighters. We never fought before. Those girls started it." Nicky answered for me.
"Well, I must warn you, those girls start a lot of things." Ms. D replied.
