3rd POV
"Lin why are we here??" Everyone groans.
Everyone includes Renée, Jasmine, Pippa, Emmy and Johnathan. "Lin it's almost 6am, why are we here? you said it was an emergency, yet the theater isn't on fire..." Jasmine says through a yawn.
"Guys I ask Y/N her too and she is on her way for a 'rehearsal' but really in between running lines I need you guys to just tell her how amazing Leslie is."
"Wait this is about Leslie! If you wanted us to talk her head off about guys, we would have just had a girls night rather than being at the theater 1 AND A HALF HOURS EARLY LIN!!" Renée yelled
"Yes but she needs to be reassured before the date, which is tonight." Lin said.
"All that's cool and everything but why am I here?" Groff says annoyed.
"You were the first person to help her here, she will listen to you, also you can be pretty convincing."
"Yea, you would know I guess." Groff says with a wink.
"Now here's the plan" ... Lin goes on to explain how they will basically talk up Leslie, when someone walks in...
It's Daveed 😊 of course!
"Diggs what are you here? So early? "
"I was talking to Y/N last night and she said she was going to be here a little early to work with you and she sent me a text this morning inviting me along. "
"You were talking to Y/N?" "Why would she ask you?" " Are you guys dating?" " What else did you guys talk about?" As they bombard Daveed with questions, they completely miss you come in.
Y/N's POV
I finally get to the theater and Daveed beat me here but not only that there's plenty of people here... Lin didn't tell me that!
And it looks like they were arguing, so I let them be and took a seat to watch this play out.
I watch Daveed stumble over his word " Well we were just texting about stuff. Nothing really and then she asked me to come this morning since she was going to be here and we could work on 'What'd I Miss?' too"
"Oh Okay" they said collectively. "Yea but what you guys doing here?"
Oh yea I'm wondering too, so before they could answer Lin steps in and says...
