You were just a 25 year old woman, in NY trying to make it. You work at a coffee shop not too far away from the theater. And you get a call...
We make it back down to stage and they just finished Wait For It and was about to go it Stay Alive and Lin pulls me into the middle of the stage and Alex yells "Hold! Lin, what are you doing?"
"I'm calling STORYTIME!" And everyone starts laughing and I just stand there confused.
"Lin, in the middle of rehearsal?" I don't hear Lin say anything but Alex just gets up walks over to Andy and they both leave having what seemed like a casual conversation.
"Circle up everyone and let the story begin. So for those Y/N's who don't know..." so this is his plan, embarrass me further!
"For storytime we each add a sentence to the story and it keeps going til the story comes to a satisfying end. Three rules don't be boring, don't end the story early, and don't think too hard it's suppose to be fun."

[A/N: This is the circle. Forgive my horrid hand-writing.]
I was gonna try to stand next to Leslie but Pippa grabs me and drags me away.
"I will start!" Groff yells in his King George voice. "So there once was a handsome prince named Lin!"
Next in line was Leslie. "He wanted nothing more than to bring his family together." Noticing where this was going, I smiled because he did bring us together in this circle. And Leslie looked at me and smiled back at me and now I'm blushing. Then he looked over to my left and he lost his smile. And I was gonna worry about it til Jasmine spoke up and then I remembered we were playing a game.
"But one small problem occurred?" Jaz asked because she didn't want to end the story but didn't know where to go with it.
"Ahh yes his 2 brothers could never agree on anything ever" Emmy hops in next. "So many fights broke out amongst anytime they came toe to toe." Lin said like a true story tellers. And without missing a beat Renée says smoothly"But this times things were gonna be different because our precious Lin had a secret weapon."
"Was it Lafayette?" Daveed asked and everyone laughed except for Leslie who I continue to peek over at in between everyone's addition to the story.
"His princess friend who possessed magical powers!" You could tell Anthony said the first thing that came to his mind. I never stop smiling through this whole thing.
" He thought she would settle the feud and bring peace to his family." Oak spoke so softly. It's my turn but wasn't sure if the story was suppose to end yet, so I asked" But she didn't?"
"No, she brought nothing but chaos and destruction." Pippa said and I had never seen a more malicious facial expression on her.
"So when she showed up to the castle, the boys got into the biggest argument they had ever had." It was back to Groff.
Oh I really am not liking where this story is going. Was this suppose to make me feel better. "But what were they fighting about?" Leslie asked, he sounded genuinely curious. It was absolutely adorable. And he brought my smile back.
"They were fighting over the beautiful princess of course, duhh." Jazzy says finally catching on to the story.
"They decide a fight to the death was the only appropriate action for such a beautiful princess." Emmy doesn't hesitate. Lin goes " But death is the last thing the prince wants for his family." Lin turns serious and make sure he makes eye contact with everyone. We nod and Mama Renée keeps it going with.
"Of course there isn't a fight because obviously the more mature brother knows to walk away before it gets that far."
"Well if they don't fight for her and there ain't no way the better brother is sharing her, what they gonna do then?" Daveed is looking at Leslie... more like glaring. Yep they're glaring at each other... is this my fault? I'm almost sure he knows about the kiss.
"Um if there is a better brother then I think he should definitely take the princess out, no fight necessary!" Anthony dances a little during the last part.
"Or maybe they can just get along this time... for her." I said hoping this could lead to a happy ending Please Pippa! I'm pleading with my eyes.And I feel like I watch her make up mind.
"She ended marrying the prince himself and used her magic to rain happiness on his entire family. " I let out the breath I didn't know I was holding.
"And Prince Lin's 2 brothers wanting nothing more than to be there for him on his special day, they put there difference aside." Groff lets out as I feel the resolution to our story coming.
"And they agreed to be my groomsmen." Leslie no longer looked happy but he was looking at Lin. I wonder what's wrong with him now.
"Yay! And they all lived happily ever after." Jazzy celebrates as I look around the circle it seems we all joined in except for Daveed, Leslie and Pippa. Now I know there is something going on. But I'm not gonna press the matter I have had enough emotional breakdowns to last me an entire tech week.
"All right everyone, I will give guys a breakfast hour for I'm sure most of you had no time to eat, off you go. But before you leave greet our newest cast member and shower her with love!" Oh Lin you are killing me. But everyone comes up to me hugs me and formally welcomes me to the cast and it feels nice. Maybe this is just what I needed.
[I may edit this page later but for now this is how it stands. I'm pretty happy with it. Honestly I want to go back and actually name my chapters so I might do that soon as well.]
[Also also actually actually... I didn't realized I stopped writing the storytime half through so I went back and finished it. Sorry about that.]
