Chapter 3

Your PoV

6pm comes around and I spent the remainder of my time getting acquainted with the Schuyler sisters, who I found in their dressing room. I was talking to Pippa asking her about the role of Eliza and Renée cuts in and says "hey, it's almost time to go, do you need a ride?"

"Um yea, totally... Thanks!" and off we went, we talked all the way home. And she offered to pick me up in the morning and I obliged.

**Next Morning**

"I'm late, I'm late, I'm late!!" Renée is on my phone saying she is outside, and I can't find my lucky socks! "I'm coming just looking for my socks"

"Did you check your dryer?" Oh my gosh, she is right, so I run down the hall and dig through the clothes I forgot in the dryer. "Found em!" I grab everything else and run down stairs and slid into Renée's car. "Thank you so much!" and off we went. I knew Renée was definitely the mom of the group in that moment.

** At the Theater**

I am saying hey to everyone and learning more names like Daveed, Anthony, and Oak, also I met up with Pippa and Jasmine.

Also I met Chris Jackson from In the Heights, this is so cool!

Everyone is really nice especially Daveed. We began to disperse and Lin comes out saying we are getting started in an hour and we are starting with Act 2. I'm excited because I will learning choreography today for 'What Did I Miss?' and Cabinet Battle #1! So I'm chilling in the middle of the stage with Daveed just talking, waiting for an hour to pass.

He is giving me advice since everyone has been how two weeks longer than me. He says " Lin can be tough on you but don't take anything too hard, he is just really stressed and also if you mess up just look for me, I probably messed up too, haha just smile through it and hop back in."

I'm laughing and he keeps giving me advice and telling jokes, fifteen minutes past as we do and he says " hey, you wanna see sumthin' really funny?" and I respond "Of course."

He takes out his phone and leans in to show me a video and I see him in a huge bow tie rapping about rubber duckies, it is hilarious but adorable and he kills the rap and now I see how he got his part.

While we are sitting there, practically holding each other up, we hear "What, No! I wouldn't even know what to say to her"

We snap our heads around and find Leslie eye wide and Pippa slides in front of him...

Leslie POV

Lin makes the announcement that we have an hour, then makes his way over to me but not after stopping at every person between me and him.

I say to Renée, Oak, Pippa, and Lin "I think I like her and she knew my name and my role."

"Yea thanks to me, you're weelcoooome" an eavesdropping Groff sings and walks away.

"But maybe I should wait until we are about to talk some more." I say hoping one of them would agree with me.

"Don't pull an Aaron Burr, if you want her go get her." Lin says this sounding like Alexander Hamilton.

Renée interjected "Yes If you wait any longer, I'm pretty sure Daveed will make his move. I mean just look at them." I roll my eyes.

We look over at the stage and you and Daveed are sitting on the floor laughing and I was all good until he leaned in closer to you and now his head is on your shoulder while you guys watch a video. Don't freak out, man!

"What, No! I wouldn't even know what to say to her," came out a lot louder than I wanted it to. Now I have everyone's attention,which wasn't many people just Oak, Renée, Lin, Chris, Pippa, and then your's and Daveed.

I knew then that, Pippa was the kindest being in the world because she at the perfect moment yells " I'm making a coffee run, anyone want anything?" Everyone is now giving Pippa their orders and I mouth to her "thank you" as I walk away.

Your POV

Pippa yells "I'm making a coffee run, anyone ant anything?" I think I'm good on coffee I have to go to work later anyway. Daveed wanted some though so he helped me up and then he walked over to Pippa. I then catch Leslie glancing at me, so I wave, and he waves and makes his way over to me.

"Hey Leslie, No coffee?"

"Um yea, I'm good, what about you, you didn't want anything?" he asked.

"O no I get enough of that stuff from work" he raises his eyebrow. "You have another job, w-where do you work?" he stutters and I giggle.

I respond "the coffee shop across the street. "

"That's cool, hey maybe we could-" Leslie is cut off when someone slithers their arms around my waist. I spin quickly only to see that it's...
