Chapter 7

"Yes, Clar...I'm on my way." Sabi ko sa cellphone ko.

"We're..." Mahinang pagtama ni Chris sakin.

Umirap ako. I was about to answer pero naunahan ako ni Clarissa.

"Oh, right. Your husband is with you." Clarissa giggled. I also heard Camille's small laugh.

"Don't start, Clar."

Natawa siya. "Alright, alright. Calm your pekpek."

I ended the call and placed my phone back in my bag. Then I glared at Chris. He didn't seem to notice my glaring at first because it took him a few seconds to notice me.

He furrowed his eyebrows after glancing at me.

"What's wrong now?" He asked while his eyes were on the road.

"Ano namang gagawin mo sa opisina ni Clarissa? Bakit kailangan mo pang sumama?"

"Why? Can't I hangout with my wife and her friends?" Taas kilay niya akong tiningnan at agad na binalik ang kanyang mga mata sa daan.

"Ang mabuti pa ay bumalik ka na sa opisina mo at magtrabaho!" Iritado kong sabi.

I saw him roll his eyes before stopping the car because of the red light. "I told you I finished my work already."

"Oh, tapos?"

"I finished my work early for you." He replied.

I opened my mouth to speak again but no words came out. I rolled my eyes and cleared my throat.

"Nobody asked you to do that."

"Even so, I would still do it." He coldly said.

What the hell is wrong with him?

Tahimik lang ako habang nagmamaneho siya patungo sa opisina ni Clarissa. I don't know why I was silent. It is because of what he said? What the hell? Affected ka na dun, Jillian?

Sa tapat mismo ng entrance ng kompanya hininto ni Chris ang sasakyan. May valet naman kaya ayos lang na dun siya huminto. I immediately got off the car when he stopped, hindi ko na hinintay na pagbuksan ako ng pinto ng staff.

I wanted to get away from him!

Pagkapasok ko talaga sa building ay may humawak kaagad sa palapulsuhan ko. I thought it was the guard but when I turned to face that person, I saw an asungot instead.

"Let go of me." I said before trying to remove his hand on me.
