[Must Have Have Been The Wind - Alec Benjamin]

And she was but a mere child,
They tore at the petals of her youth, and stripped her of her innocence.
They pushed her into this cruel, hateful world of ours.
She wasn't ready.
She wasn't ready.
She wasn't ready.
And she fell.
But my darling, they had forgotten she remembered how to fly.
And she flew.
And she flew.
And she flew.

Note:
this poem is about child rape, which I experienced from a very close perspective. I hope that no child, woman or man ever has to experience anything like that. But our world is too unjust and disgusting for pure thoughts like ours to survive. Please listen to these poor victims and give them love, goodness knows how much they need it.
