"Ed, thank you a lot for this, I was really needing it", Zoe said as we were walking towards her home.

"Hey, we're best friends, anytime you need, I'll be there for you", I responded smiling at her.

She grabbed my hand on the last steps to her home, when we finally got to the door she stopped and hugged me one more time, "I won't tell anyone okay? I promise". 

"I know you won't silly, and I'm sorry I never realized you like me... guess I'm really bad at figuring this kind of thing out", I said scratching my head laughing nervously.

She laughed a bit and kissed me in the cheek, "It's okay, you're still my best friend". She then started walking to her house.

"Hey, I forgot to tell you", I said before she entered the house, "James's parents are going away for the weekend, he's throwing a party on Saturday you should definitely come."

"Okay, that sounds fun", she waved goodbye and I started walking home.

In bed, I started wondering about the day, Zoe was a good friend, and god she was really pretty, but I never saw her as anything other than a friend, she must have given me many signs and I guess I was too slow and dumb to notice, but I hope our friendship never ends, even with James I always thought if she was ok, guess now I know why she left to begin with.

The next at school when I got to the class I saw something I wasn't expecting, Zoe and James were talking with smiles on their faces, not close to punching each other for the first time, "Wow, today is a historical day, you two are actually talking and not killing yourselves, congratulations". I said to them laughing.

"Well, Zoe here had some interesting things to say, guess I can forgive her", James said.

"I'm going to leave you two love birds alone, see you both tomorrow at the party" Zoe danced a bit while saying this.

I felt happy, the two most important people in my life were finally getting along.

"Hey, James, I'm sorry I didn't tell you about yesterday, I just... didn't want you to worry".

"It's okay silly, I understand, I'm glad you didn't, I would have freaked out", He said which made me get even happier.

"So, is everything good for tomorrow? I can't wait to actually see your house, it must be huge", I always wanted to check James's house but thought it was impossible considering his parents.

"Yep, and I was actually meaning to talk to you about tomorrow", His face went serious when he said this.

"Is everything okay? Do you need anything? You know I'll help you with anything".

"I want you... I hmm...", James was trying to talk but his words just wouldn't come out, his white cheeks started getting red.

"James, just tell me", I said looking straight into his eyes.

"I want you to sleep with me", He said using all his will, "There, I said it".
