Cyril stared at her with a blank face, but he could see that she was serious about it. "W-Why all of a sudden?"
"I want to see how she's doing.. Is it not possible?"
Cyril hesitated. With a suffocating sigh, he said, "Your mother...is not alive."
"And why is that?... Is it because.. I'm different?" Sena uttered. Cyril stared at her with worried eyes and slight guilt. Standing up from her seat in disbelief she began shouting. "You know.. don't you?! You know who I am, what I am!"
Cyril grabbed her hand. "Sena, calm down!...I will tell you what really happened."
As they both settled down, "While engaging in work for the XOLA, I heard a rumor around the work area of a woman with supernatural powers." Although he saw Sena's eyebrow raised, he still continued. "I pretended to be one of her victims. Then, I found myself inside of one of the abandoned houses by the port of Strylis. While looking around the houses, I saw you in one of the houses." He hesitated again. "You..were in the middle of a large magic circle that was drawn all over the room and surrounded by a a few pillars that were activating some sort of seal. After disabling the pillars, I escaped into the streets with you and that was how we met."
The room fell into a silence. The only sound they heard were the conversations from outside the office.
"Y-You.. mean.. I was kidnapped?"
Cyril nodded, "I believe so.."
"Did you come back to see who the woman was?" Sena asked frantically.
"I came back a few days after, only to find no one. Not even a single thing that hinted of the supernatural.." He said."It's all I know from that day.. I'm sorry Sena.." Cyril said as he slumped in his seat.
"It's fine..."
After returning to the palace, Sena went to the palace library. Containing all original copies of every book in Strylis, ranging from the time of the first king until the present day.
"What are you doing here?" A voice asked. Sena turned around to see his highness. The powerful man gazed at her with gentle eyes.
"I'm researching.." Sena replied.
"I'd like to have a chat with you.." King Aspen said.
At the center of the library was a large table that separated the distance from her and the King.
"How's everything? I hope Lilly isn't troubling you. She told me you seemed quite uncomfortable with her."
"Not at all! It's just that.. I've been feeling... homesick. So, King, there's no need to be concerned! I'll promise to protect Strylis and it's people." Sena said with a grin.
The King smiled. "You are a lovely child. I feel very appreciative, thank you."
Sena smiled and watched him leave the library. Getting back to what she was doing, Sena searched the journal section of the library. 'There's gotta be something here..King Aspen the very first..'
"What you're looking for isn't here.." A voice of a girl said, behind Sena.
"Who are you?" Sena asked.
"Viviette..and I know you're looking for this journal.." The golden almost white haired girl said as she nonchalantly held several loose pages hanging out of what used to be a book.
"What are you talking about?"
Viviette smiled. "Come with me, Sena. Return to where you belong, return to Night-Wald.."
Sena glared at the girl and pulled out a blade as soon as the girl spoke of Night-Wald.
"I'm not your enemy. Once you read this book, I'm sure you'll understand who is really the enemy and you'll come looking for me." Saying that the girl disappeared from her vision and the book dropped to the ground.
After rushing into her room Sena wasted no time to open the ruined book.
My dear Naois, how I love you. It has been 9 years since I've last seen you. I'm certain that you have been exerting yourself with the ascendancy of the throne as queen. Truthfully, I wish you were here with me. Every day as the time passes by, I long for you. Naois, I want you to live with me. I want to have a family.
As though the pages and writings were intentionally torn out, Sena begins reading the next page.
We're going to have a child, Naois. How should I react to this.. I feel so overwhelmed. You told me that I would be fine and I shouldn't be worrying, but seeing your pained expression once in a while concerns me. You said if it was a boy, we would name him Lucien and it was a daughter, you would want her as Sena.
Sena stared at the page. 'Sena.. Sena.. Sena....' It echoed in her head. She quickly grabbed the other book from under her bed. Scanning through almost all the pages until the end of the demon queen's diary, Sena stopped at the eye catching word again.
Aspen is worried. Today I told him what I would name the baby. Lucien for a boy, and Sena for a girl.
She continued reading.
I told him not to worry, yet I fear for what will happen. I don't know what to do. I can feel the baby. This child won't be normal, it's consuming my life energy. If there was a miracle, please, I wish for this child to be a human, please.
That was where it ended.
Her face became pale as white lacy curtains that dangles on the window. As though she was a doll, Sena was expressionless and empty. Everything that has happened, she wondered if it was really her life. Why was it her? She didn't know how to react to this? How should someone react to this?
Sena turned to see several blank pages. Placing her palm over the pages, she began having the familiar nauseous feeling. Her markings cried out, burning as if her skin was on fire. This time, Sena gladly accepted it. She wanted to know everything.
